It was quite slow moving, but still it wasn't the pre-teen ditsy film i expected. Granted, it want exactly quality, but it held my interest and it didnt feel like a waste of time or money. I never saw the first movie that comes before this one, but i have read the books and remembered the basic plot. The characters were different than i expected them to be; Tibby especially was a lot more goth than hippie/punk. Lena wasn't as pretty as i thought she would be. The other two girls were similar to how I imagined them. Was this review helpful? We need more movies like this. It kept my interest. I like each one of the young women style and story. No I don't think I will add this movie to my dvd collection but going to see this movie was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Beautiful SequelPosted: 8/12/2008A review of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 by ATLprincess1985 This was a very great coming-of-age story about the same four original characters from the previous movie. I was greatly pleased that all four girls reprised their roles. The film would've been a flop any other way!
The four various stories were each unique and very beautiful. My favorite parts were when Tibby rushed to help Carmen's mother and when Tibby saw Carmen's family laying in the delivery room hospital bed. I honestly think Tibby had the most emotional storyline of all the characters.
The reasons it's not a 5-star movie:
1.) It was based on book 4, which confused a lot of people. They losely put in bits of book 2 and 3.
2.) No Erik! I would've loved his return, as in the books.
3.) They never told what happened to Leo.
4.) I honestly wished they could've somehow found the pants. But maybe it was symbolism that they didn't need them anymore.
Overall, this movie is a wonderful thing to see with your mom or a group of friends. But if you're a huge fan of the books(like me), be prepared for LOTS of changes! Was this review helpful?
