The Silence of the Lambs is the best horror thriller film ever. Jodie Foster shows her great acting skills here in this film a well disevred win and also Anthony Hopkins as Dr, Hannibal Lecter a.k.a Hannibal the cannibal shows his of also. As Jodie Foster gets closer and closer to finding a serial killer Hopkins is getting into Foster's mind and starts playing there favourite game of cat and mouse "...because the last thing you want is Hannibal Lecter in your head..." does the review help???

Personally,i think the acting and the screenplay made this movie a masterpiece.its hard to introduce such a movie involving this genre, and the cast and crew did a great job to make it earn that success.the film deserved it five oscars, except a little bit writing award(boyz n the hood deserved it more) and finally, everybody showld see the film.

The best horror film of all time. This movie really enabled you to be scared, because all the events could really happen, unlike most modern horror with aliens mutant humans ect.

Although the movie is, of course, not as wonderful as the book, this is one of the best movies I have seen in my life. The portrayal of Starling is wonderful. Foster realizes on the screen a nieve yet well meaning and ambitious recruit. She has an ablity to spar with Lector yet she is aware of her inferiority, intellectualy. She is equally aware of Lector's maddness and manuevers accoridingly. Hopikins' portrayl of Lector is deep and frightening in its accuracy. The film is one that will go down as one of the best movies in the suspense/thriller category.

Silence is an unbelieveably calm, lurking thriller. Trying to categorize it is impossible, unless you are putting it in the category of the best movies ever made. All of the actors deserve praise for their perfect performances in this phycologicly stabbing thriller.

Wow! This was a fantastic movie! Scary and creepy too. Anthony Hopkins and Jody Foster are superb! Better than the sequels too, but they are pretty good too.

Although Jodie Foster is playing the good guy in this movie, her intimate dialogue with Hanibal made me feel disgusted and avoid watching movies of Foster for a long time, I had this feeling of fear towards her in other words she started to scare me after watching the movie only because of her analysis of Hanibal as a human flesh eater, I was frightened all movie long that she would get eaten by Hanibal, nothing convinced me to watch movies of Foster as an actor afterwards until I've seen an interview with her where she seemed as normal as any other girl, I am trying to say when she's acting frightened she's super my heart was beating hard all movie long because of the look on her face when interacting with Hanibal, I love to say again this is no more the case after watching her in other roles and after watching her interview on CNN TV Larry King Live some years ago, the thing that convinced me that she is not evil and as for Hanibal the same issue applies after watching him in Zoro playing the good old Zoro. Apart from that it's the most scary horror movie I've ever experienced.

Wow! I must say, this was a really good movie. I just watched it for the first time last weekend, along with "Red Dragon" and "Hannibal". Although i think the hype on how scary the movie was supposed to be, was overrated, (red dragon was much scarier), it had a well written plot and the characters were great. How Anthony Hopkins pulled off bein an evil sadistic killer yet seem very charming at the same is beyond me. As a struggling actress, I can really appreciate how well he did his job Jodie Foster played the role of a sweet yet brilliant cop very well. My favorite scene was probably the whole part when Hannibal escaped from jail and was in the police building. It was quite thematic and tense. The tension between Buffalo Bill and the senators daughter was excellent!! Good job on a movie well done!!! 2 thumbs up!

When I first saw silence of the Lamps. I was glued to the my seat. Jumped out of my seat a few times. Anthony Hopkins playes the part every well. And I just love him. I love all his movies. Jodie Foster was great in it. I wish she Jodie Foster played in Hanibel instead of that other lady. But I did like Hanibel every much.

Now this is the movie that got me hooked on the Lecter series. Of course, it's the first one. Antony Hopkins and Jodie Foster work great together. They brought the whole story together so well, that even Thomas Harris (writer of the book) would approve. The best scene is that of the great escape. It kept me thinking, "Where did he go?!" Great movie! Check it out!

The film 'the silence of the lambs' had always interested me, and I had long wanted to see it after hearing good reviews and comments. Eventually, I watched the video, thinking i would be dissapointed as I usually am when I watch films through others' oppinions.I was everything but disappointed.'Silence of the Lambs' is a cunning, well directed film that chilled my bones more than any other movie I have ever seen. The acting was superb, and i was gripped every minute i watched it.Now, seeing it more than 4 times, it never gets tiresome. The film is an absoloute masterpiece. The sly, eeriness of the genius psychopath Hannibal Lecter, the ambtitious and cunning Clarice, and the pure evil of Jame Gumb, all portrayed by brilliant actors made one movie that all future horror movies will be compared to, and one movie that nobody will ever, ever forget.

This movie was very clever, yes, but I didn't find it to be scary. This might be one of the most clever ";scary"; movies I've seen, other than The Sixth Sense. I didn't find it gory enough for my taste, but from 1-10 on my scare-rate, 10 being horrifying, I'd have to give it a 3.
