It came out pre 9/11 and illustrates an eerie & extremely unfortunate foreshadowing of what is to come in our real future. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Excellent!Posted: 4/14/2003A review of The Siege by bowed_notbroken When this movie first debuted, people scoffed -- ";This could never happen in New York";... until it did.A friend at work thought it was the most preposterous movie he'd ever seen. I haven't seen him in quite awhile but when I do, I plan to remind him of what he said. Denzel was pitch perfect as always; Annette Bening gave her usual stellar performance; Tony Shalhoub is always wonderful. The movie gets going right away and keeps you interested until the very end. It was a terrific movie when it came out and it's even more relevant post-September 11. SEE IT. Was this review helpful?
