I think the actors and directors did an excellent job but they could have done better in the conclusion. It was supposed to be the scary movie of the year and I didn't jump once! I think that if you're looking to freak out some friends then this is a great movie to do so! Was this review helpful? They did. I believe this time it is because Stephen King himself had a big hand in it. It is long but it doesn't lose your interest. More emphasis is placed on the ghosts that need the energy provided by a young boy that has the gift. The special effects are worth it! Turning the father of the boy from villian to hero leaves you with a very satisfying feeling. I couldn't help being a little choked up at the end. Nice touch is Stephen King appearing as the band conductor. Reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock - he always turned up somewhere in his movies. Scary and tense moments. A fine job. Was this review helpful?
