So when i put the movie in my dvd player i thought i was going to get the worst movie in history, the way everyone was saying it was !. After the movie i couldnt beleive some of the reviews!!!, The acting was great, the story was great and the film was not at all complicated. dont read on if you havent seen it ill explain . Sarah MG Character was in a car crash when she was a young girl and has never been right since, when she is all grown up she is still having thoughts about something bad that happened but cant figuire out why. She keeps having hallusinations of someone chasing her or trying to kill her, until she discovers a young woman was murdered and she has to find out who the killer is !. I Think those who said the movie was bad just didnt understand it. Though its no a movie where everything is explained at once, dosent mean its no a great movie you just need to use your head for this one, If that isnt to hard for you ! Was this review helpful? The movie is about a girl who has these dreams of a women getting murdered, and she is trying to follow her dreams to solve this murder.
while this guy who is trying to rape her in this small town.
which leaves you wondering during the movie, why did she stay in this cheap motel, why didnt lock her motel door.
The movie drags out and jumps around.
This not the same sarah michelle gellar from the grudge scary movie, so if you rent it expecting the grudge you will be highly disappointed.
its not a scary movie its suspense and a boring one at that.
This movie is not worth renting or buying. wait for it on cable or tv.

The writeup on the cover SHOCKING, THRILLER, NEVER ENDING???? Very slow movie and didnt make any sense, they didnt give enough informaiton I think.. Left too muich guessing and had scenes that made no connection. The only reason she became the guys next target was cause she happened to stop at the station (for a soda) where he worked. I can understand why a 15 year old would think this was a great horror flick.. thats probably the age gender they were shooting for. For those who rate movies without seeing them, you are missing the whole point. Was this review helpful? The story was about a young adult named Joanne who begins to have visions of a horrible murder in La Salle, Texas when she was just a young girl. Then once she figures out who the killer was, she finds out that she is his next target. From then on the movie is fast and exciting, and then the ending I will save for you. I think this movies is worth seeing if you like movies that make you think, and that you have to pay attention to the entire movie. Was this review helpful? It was excellent! I jumped a few times, but mainly it made you think. I was afraid it would be slow but it was not. If you like a good Suspense, you will love this movie. It is kind-of like Identity and Gothika rolled into one - along those lines. The ending was FANTASTIC also! A MUST SEE! Was this review helpful? I am a Gellar fan to but even she couldnt save this movie. The acting was awful whos fault that is im really not sure. The plot was like thousands of other movies that are out there is nothing to be said for originality it seems. When I see horror movies, I always take them too seriously. I always think its going to be very scary, even though I know its not. I was tense, but I got out of it. The is one character that frequently writes reviews on MSN Charles but their not his reviews. They are the reviews of real critics which you can see on the top of the review page. Hopefully people and Charles will read this so this can be stopped.
Now to the review of The Return.
Sarah Michelle Gellar, Peter OBrien, Sam Shepard and Kate Beahen star in The Return it tells the story of Joanna Mills who has made a living for herself as sales women for a trucking company. Her private life however has been difficult away from her father, and only with one friend, Joanna fears she is losing her mind. She keeps seeing visions of the brutal murder of a stranger by a man who appears to be making Joanna his next target.
There have not been that many good horror movies out this year. The only two that come to mind is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning and The Grudge 2. The Grudge 2 I have chosen has the best movie of 2006 so far. Well now that have seen The Return, I cant say that this was better then The Grudge 2 but I will have to say that we have a tie on the best movie(s) of 2006 so far.
I have only seen one positive review for this movie (not counting mine). It was given four stars by Dottieone. I am going to top their rating and give the movie five stars because it is that good. I hope that when people go to the movies that they make the right choice in what to see I think that The Return is the best movie now in theaters.
Please, Please go see this movie. It is very good and I cant stress that enough. The Return has not only great acting by Sarah Michelle Gellar but it is also very scary. It made me jump quite a few times. I had a lot of fun watching The Return and you will to. Was this review helpful? I am in my mide 30s and we both enjoy thrillers and horror flicks. This movie was boring and it was so bad the first 45 minutes, we both decided to leave. Ive watched some bad movies but Ive never left in the middle of a movie. I highly recommend not wasting your money. You will be dissapointed! I wish I had read the reviews before going! What a waste........
