It has a romance, comedy, and then sports. It's kind of a movie that a wife could actually drag her husband to see because it has some football in it. It's got tons of scenes that are funny each times you look at it. I don't know a thing about football and none of that mattered when I watched this show. Knowing that I didn't know didn't make it boring at all. Regular guys bonding in their own way and playing for the glory, even if it's temporary. It was touching too and not in a sappy kind of way which really worked for me. Oh and that jail scene? I'll never forget it.lol. This show's got heart.Go Falco! Was this review helpful? There is a story here as well. It's based on a true strike that happened and the 'scabs' that replaced the players for a few weeks. The talented but 'never was' QB Shane Falco is called in to service from his fishing boat in order to lead an hilarious cast of ne'er do wells. The same scenario holds true for the haphazard cheerleading squad. I think you can predict some of the things that go on from there but the script is really enjoyable anyway. Full of well known stars, if you are a Keanu fan you will love him in this movie which suits him well and the head 'cheerleader' has got to be one of the most attractive and pretty actresses. Needless to say her 'squad' ends up being a hoot. ;-) Was this review helpful? Rio's story or plot wasn't the best part. That's not helpful. You'll laugh, cry, and smile. It's got everything. The Review from Rio is all wrong! You'll love this movie for everything! You have surprised us all (me). I had no idea Keanu Reeves could star in a such a weird plot, but i must say, very good. Ladies, gay men (and me and kai) will enjoy it because there are many views of Keanu in lycra trousers, and at other times he is seen in a wetsuit and with no other item of clothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. Men will like the fact that he dirves a truck, there are punch ups, swearing, and a pretty lead female. Keanu's hair is kindof like it was in 'the watcher', and there are many Ted styly smiles. Overall, Shane (Keanu) is an extremely happy chappy, except when he finds out he isn't on the team anymore, because Martel ( Ugly barstard) isn't on strike anymore. But of course, Keanu comes back, saves the day, and wins the match, gets the girl, and lives happily ever after, on his boat. Oh, sorry, did i just give away the plot?
