This character is thrown so low, the viewer wonders how Gardner turns his Life around.He finds his marriage on the skids, and discovers a lasting "secret to Success". He becomes a role model for his young son,who he carries in tow all around. The great big breakthrough comes when Gardner attends a stock market seminar.
Smith shines in any biopic (I also love him in Ali). i enjoy this wonderful film that teaches a Lesson on Life. Was this review helpful? To me, this movie was a Cinderella-esque movie, because when you think about it, it really is. Will and Jaden Smith brought the two lead characters to life in such a way to make you beleive and understand everything that the real Chris Gardner and his son had to endure to become successful. And, it is difficult to find movies like this now. Once you watch this movie and realize the truth about Chris Gardner, it really does make you feel worthless, but in a good way. I know for a fact that after I watched the DVD, I felt like crying and smiling all in one motion, but I could not do that, because it is difficult to smile and cry and mix it into one emotion. But, after I have watched the movie, after all the months of waiting for the DVD release, I really am happier that this movie gave me the ambition I needed to survive in the real world, and just complete all the impossible goals I set. This movie made me appreciate what I have. Just watching what a man had to do to survive and with his son, its amazing. I never realized that there are people out there that still go through this. The story was amazing, and this is a film that I will keep so my daughter can watch when she gets older. I highly recommend this movie ) Was this review helpful? Will Smith probably ran more in this movie than he has in his entire life. If i see one more movie where the main actor runs for half the films length, I will loose weight. Smith even looked like he lost some weight from all the running. The movie made me thirsty and hungry. But the story was good and very sad. I wish I could achieve the American Dream. Can you really achieve your dreams though, theyre just dreams to begin with. However, the movie made it seem like the American Dream does exist... Im still not sure what that is though?

THE MOVIE IS A TRUE STORY.
its about anyone who has been through hard times and all they doing is trying to make their dreams come true. not just make it and get by with everyday life. but trying to make their dreams come true.
will smith and his son did a job well done with this movie. great acting.
The movie shows you what people go through to follow their dreams and never letting anyone tell u, u cant.
in this movie u will laugh and you will cry and you will find yourself.
the story is awsome never a moment where it drags out. it always keep ur attention from start to finish.
The people that didnt like this movie, i think their the type of people that never follow their dreams. and never had to risk losing it all or have lost it all. or their minds are not open to the fact that in life you never know where u going to end up. those the type of people that always say no not me, or no not my.
if your a humble person, than u will love this movie to the fullest.
go see this movie and buy when it comes out or even rent it. it will be well worth it.
the movie is worth about 8 stars, if i could add more i would.

the story is so touching,so real it relates to u on a personal level and thou u might have gone thru the things in the story u get the feeling that ur living it.
i cried so much in this movie.. its so touching n passionate...i continued crying even after i left the movie theatre.
the story is mainly about a man who has a son.. his gf abadons him bcoz of his worthless job n he tries to do everything2 survive... him and his son
so much luv in this movie... u wont feeel sorry
