Love, romance, sword fights, giants, and it was filled with a quirky humour you rarely see nowadays. They did a great job on this movie. I especially like it when Wesley, knocked out Andre the Giant, and told him to dream of wine and large women. CLASSIC MOVIE, IT SHOULD HAVE GOT AN OSCAR!! Was this review helpful? It is my absolute favorite. Such a great fairy tale, told through the actual movie, and also by narative and scenes with the grandfather grandson. Its funny,charming, exciting, and sweet. Sign In 2 out of 2 users found this helpful Awesome movie!!!Posted: 11/18/2005A review of The Princess Bride by jennilynn07 I watched this movie when i was a kid and ive loved it ever since, it has everything that you want in a movie romance, action, miracles, suspense, comedy, you will fall in love with the romance of westly and buttercup, be on the edge of your seats with the intense action of the fire swamp, wonder if the miracle will really work with miracle max, and wonder if indigo montaya will ever avenge his father, if buttercup will ever escape prince humperdinck and find her true love, and if westly is alive or dead and if he is alive what really happened and how did he survive the dread pirate roberts! this movie is the movie for all ages, showing that a movie does not have to be rated r to be awesome! i strongly recomend this movie! you will love it!! and if you dont your just crazy Was this review helpful? Though I'd initially watched the movie for Andre the Giant, I fell in love with Westley. Cary Elwes brings the classic fairy tale love to life, but with a believeability that the fairy tales lack. This is a movie you can see over and over again and still not get bored. A girl falls in love, gets taken away to marry someone she DOESN'T love, then gets her man back.
