Holly Hamilton who tires to hook up her single mom on the internet with a man that does not exist. She decides to invent a suitor to show her mother that there are better guys out there. But when mom falls for the imaginary man, Hollys forced to find a real guy to fulfill the fantasy romance.
I love movies and all different types of movies I like Horror, Comedy, Drama, Thriller and maybe even sometimes a Romance. I cant say what kind of movie The Perfect Man is, it is not funny not dramatic and not romantic. There was no plot and no purpose to make this movie. No one would care if they closed down the production.
As I was watching this movie I said to myself who is the mother and who is the daughter? A parent is suppose to guide the children threw life until they are able to take care of them selves. Well in this movie Hilary Duff and Heather Locklear took turns being the parent and being the child. At times Hilary Duff, would take control and tell everyone what to do. And at time Heather Locklear would act childish and foolish and do whatever she wanted. I was confused.
I found this movie very unbelievable. To me it made no scene.
Holly Hamilton is a really weird charter she does not resemble any teen age girl. Would you really create a fake person and have your mon fall in love with him just to make her happy, knowing in the end you cant keep lying and them your mom would only be hurt and embarrassed just like in the movie.
I was unable to put this movie together, when it was over because it was a movie with not plot and just idiotic scene after idiotic scene.
The Perfect Man is and always will be terrible movie, no matter how many time you see it.
The Perfect Man was Unbelievably bad.
The Perfect Man just kept getting Worse and Worse as it went on.

Sign In 5 out of 7 users found this helpful  AWESOMEPosted: 3/16/2006A review of The Perfect Man by Kit-Kat433 Ok...You people dont know what you are talking about this is a really great movie I have seen it about 10 times already.I loved it.The actors and accresess were great.It wasnt the worst movie ever or whatever it was good.And you guys just dont know what your missing.Youre too uptight....You need to loosen up and enjoy the movie and not look for all the mistakes.Just sit back and relax.Trust me youll enjoy the movies better if you acctually watch it and not just sit there and say....she messed up...or she gave it away....I knew that was going to happen from the pre-veiws!!
Just....well....listen to the movie....

I thought the gay guy scene was funny, but my daughter was too young for the subject of this. Mike Omalley was the best comic for sure. However the story was VERY boring everywhere else. The mother (Heather Locklear) portrayed an unreliable parent with a ditzy type mentality, while the daughter (Hilary Duff) played a two-faced, manipulative and very dishonest teenager. The little sister (Ariel Wallace) was actually the only breath of good character within a very strange family. How did this story ever get to the screen? Dont waste your time, is my opinion. It is one of those movies that you keep expecting something great to happen, and then the lights in the theatre go on and you walk out...only happy that you got to see the trailers of other movies. The plot is extremely dumb and not appealing at all, and Hilary Duff?! I would have to be an idiot to see a movie with Hilary Duff in it. Hilary can't act to save her life and thinks she is the greatest teen star out there. Her voice is a nightmare although some of her songs have catchy tunes to it. I'm sorry, but she lacks acting and voice talent and all she does is complain about being paid more, etc. She should think about people who aren't as fortunate or can't afford many things as her than wasting her her time begging for more money. Hilary's "trying" to become a better role model for kids and pre-teens, but it's not working very well. She claims that people criticize her and picks on her, but then on the other hand, she is doing it as well! What kind of role model would do that? This movie is just another one of those repeated movies made before and it seems that they have ran out of fresh original ideas to come up with for a movie. Overall, this movie is a thumbs down. Hillary Duff can not act to life her life..I have been to so many performing arts camps including Interlochen Arts Camp...(peace out to violachick)....and have seen amazing talent there that have actually made me cry...not because the charater's part was so sad...but because the actors or actresses were so !*%#@* good...that has been my standards for all children or teen actresses & actors....and Hillary doesn't and hasn't ever reached those standards of performance.....and don't get me started on her vioce !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SHE $UCK$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

Sure it isn't the best movie I have ever seen, but it sure wasn't the worst. I went to this movie not expecting a lot. The plot may be a bit cliched, but there were a lot of funny parts and a nice relationship between the morther and her 2 daughters. It was nice to go to a movie where a family obviously loved each other. Sure the ending was cliched with Chris Noth and Heather Locklear getting together, but whats wrong with a little fantasy sometimes. I certainly don't think Hilary Duff and Heather Locklear are as bad as some reviewer think. And as a side note, all of us should look as good as Heather Locklear when we reach her age. This was such a good movie, it focuses on the relationship between mother and daughter and is so touching. Instead of just throwing Hilary Duff in some stupid, undredressed teeny role it shows an older more reserved side of her acting. People should just stop hating, because if you're 16 years old on here and saying "I could do her acting" obviously you can't because you're on here dissing actors and not on screen. I personaly don't know why Society looksat others and say she or he is the worst! or she or he is stuipid but yet we don't spend time getting to know the people we judge or maybe we dont even know them!
Take Hilary Duff for example:
People say that "Hilary Duff always play an young teenanger!"
but do those people know her personaly? No they don't! so my question for you is HOW CAN YOU SIT HERE AND JUDGE WHEN YOUR NOT THEM OR IN THEIR SHOES! OR YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THEM!
My answer is that you can't.
--How would you feel is someone saw a movie you acted in and said "HE OR SHE IS THE WORST ACTOR OR ACTRESS EVER!!!"
You would be offended and hurt because you tried your best to preform the way you thought the character would.
Whether you like the actress or not why judge them instead of the whole movie!
