This movie shows us what it would have been like for Jesus suffering for us. You know it even tells us in the bible that the beatings they actually gave him were about 10 times worse that what we actually hear of it. Jesus suffered and died for us that that our sins would be forgiven. I dont see how this movie wouldnt be able to touch everyone. Its a great movie and its the truth unlike the Divincii Code! Thanks mel, im glad you at least had the courage to show your faith in Hollywood.

I read the four Gospels of Jesus Christ, and this movie brought them all to life. It was was not easy to watch the beatings, and all the pain He endured. As I saw that depiction of what HE had to go through on the cross, i reflected on all the sins that I had committed. Just think, He went through all of that for us. He who knew no sin, bore our sins. The pain He endured was unfathomable, I am glad that in the midst of all of the choas and calamity in this world, we have hope. How many of us will receive it?

What Can you say about this move Alot, its a move. What can you say about Mel Gibson alot his an actor. But when it come to the Son of God who are we to say his death took to long. If you have read the bible you would know it took 6 hours after He was hung on the cross to die. If you read the old testament he says I can count all my bones Psalm 2216-18. And so it was MORE violent then was shown in the movie. Thats the way it was. And theres no reason for the Jews to be upset about the movie, what SOME Jews did in the past, is in the past,(thats all Im saying on that topic. but if your interested in what the bibles says go to Matthew 2715-26). Ok now that thats out of the way. I think the movie was more about the phisical pain not the emotional, I mean think of It. I fell bad after I tell a White Lie. And Jesus Having all the wicked sins of all life on his back. I think the pain may have kept him focused or in check or something. I am Joyful that God never turns his back on us. How do I know besides the obvious he said so. because God can not look at sin, so he turned his back on his Son on the cross thats why he screamed My God, My God why have you forsaken me. That is were he reviled he was God. No one but the Christ could of servived that. theres more to this history lessons but I have taken up a lot of your time... cya!

This movie was amazing! When I was done watching it the first thought that came into my mind was: "I wish I could have been there to take my Savior's place." I know in my heart no one would have been allowed to take his place even if someone had wanted to. He had to die to take away the sins of the world. He had to do it and no one else could do it for Him. I hope this mocie touched other people as it did me. It really was amazing. Thanks for spending the time to read my review even though it wasn't really a review. Mostly just what I thought and how it touched me. Hmm...I guess that is kind of the point of a review but whatever. Thanks again. Shannon Potts

The Passion of the Christ is a masterpiece in itself. Only someone cold-hearted cannot be touched by the story and love of Jesus Christ.

After reading some of the "professional" critics reviews, I find that they miss an understanding of why Christ suffered. It seems that these critics keep panning the violence and gore in the movie and cannot focus on the spirit and the faith it took for Christ to accept the price of our redemption through his suffering. I would venture to say that some of these so called professional critics are completely ignorant as to why Christ had to be crucified. I would even say, sadly that some are anti-christian. The last hours of Christ's life were violent, brutal, and rife with cruelty. Any attempt to portray the last 12 hours of His life would be dishonest.

a must see. Nothing unfolds history so vivid with its most authentic meaning and captures the eyes into the past.

I've read the critic's reviews. They and the Academy don't get it. This is a movie about the last 12 hours of Jesus' life. When asked his view on the film, the Pope said; "It is as it was". Unfortunately the liberal Hollywood elite who hate all things Christian, couldn't get past their intolerance and hatred of God and view the movie on its theatrical merits. Even a normally money driven industry has ignored the fact that this is the highest grossing film of all time. When money doesn't pull in Hollywood, you know its politics. Just read the public reviews here. They are overwhelmingly positive. The Passion left me in tears personally. Not tears because I felt sorry for Jesus but tears because I was the one who crucified Him. My sin put Him there. He suffered willingly for me (and you too) so that we could obtain righteous with God through Him. In an increasingly secular America that is increasingly hostile to Christ and those who follow Him, this movie tells what we're all about...LOVE!

This movie helped me as a Christian to really visualize the last 12 hours of live that Christ lived for us. I changed my way of imagining the passion of Christ in a positive way. I made research on the way that people died when they were brutaly whipped and I can tell that what you saw in the movie can be really very near to what is true. I believe that Mel Gibson (in this time we are living... with all the new technology we have) was chosen by God to present us a movie that shows what the true passion of Christ IS, for us to beleive, to increase our faith and to help us carry our own crosses. Uniting ours to His they get meaning are not in vain. Thank you Mel for sharing your love for Christ with us through your talents. And thanks to every one who took part in it.

Jim Caveizel' portrayal of Jesus Christ was truly outstanding. He definitely deserved an Oscar for his role. Any role that this actor has been in, has been absolutely outstanding. Any person in the film industry, who knows anything about movies, should realize that Jim is truly one remarkable actor and can portray any person to a T. He definitely deserves a lifetime achievement award. If I were to ever win the lotto, I would definitely cast him in a sequel to the Count of Monte Cristo (....the Daughter of The Count of Monte Cristo?). For Jim to have suffered for his part in this role was very nobel of him. He made us all realize, that we all need to be better Christians. God Bless Jim & Mel for this wonderful film.
