This show is funny and so dynamic. Yes, it is similar (BUT ONLY IN THE TITLE!!!) to the British version. But common, guys, Steve Carell is a MUCH more dynamic comedian in his role, all others are as funny too. I wouldn substitute any actors in their roles AT ALL!!! Plus, people it was the American version that won a GOLDEN GLOBE AND EMMY!!! Do we need to say more? Cant wait till next season (and will rent current seasons DVD in the summer)

First of all, Jeeza? Why IN THE WORLD would you think that The Office is boring!? Its one of the funniest shows on TV! Apparently America DOESNT understand British humor, especially when The American version won a GOLDEN GLOBE AND EMMY!!!

Gday cobber! I am an Australian and have watched both the American and English series. Is it just me or do American Comedy writers not understant British Humor? Why remake an instant classic? What is next? Faulty Towers staring Tom Hanks? The acting from Steve Carell is bland and one dimentianal and not very funny. The SLIGHTLY similar role performed in the British version shows comedy acting at its finest. Maybee Steve should stick to his lame movies! My fellow Australians all seem to share my opinion shown by the sliding time slot the American Office has taken. Cmon people, I dont think ANY of your actors can equal or better the caracter of Garret. If anyone wants a taste of Australlian comedy at its finest ask your DVD store or library to go into their archives and try and find The Castle or for something darker, Chopper. These are some of Eric Banners earlier roles. Choppers dad says Cheers Big Ears, Jezza Peace in the Middle East

It always astounds me how an absolute loser like this show gets picked up. Oh I know, theres a whole group of you who like this Lettermenesque humor. All I can say is, youre really missing something by relating to such bad taste. Theres not one redeaming thing about this show, nor its cast. You !

This is the best show on television right now. Period. While it is similar to the british version, Steve Carell is a much more dynamic comedian in his role. Dwight is just a priceless dork. John and Jennas romance on the show is so down-to-earth, I think everyones had that kind of in-denial-flirty-friendship connection with someone. I agree with a previous review either you get the ingenious satire of the show and think its great, or you dont get it at all.

This is truly one of the funniest shows on television. Far better than the British version (that my opinion and Im sticking to it). The characters mesh so well, its completely chaotic - just like a real office! The humor can be very complicated (again, just like a real office) which is great. I love the fact that Dwight just doesnt get it sometimes and who hasnt seen the Jim - Pam thing in real life? The acting is so good, its scary! Bottom line - if you want good comedy, watch the office. If you want something mindless thatll hopefully get cancelled in week, watch the loop.

I really enjoyed watching this show. It is hilarious, but you will need to have a complicated sense of humor, not simple, easy to get, jokes. There are no laugh tracks in this show, just long pauses of silence- this adds to the funniness of the show. You will truly know when a line is funny. He desirves the Golden Globe he won. Steve Carell plays a nasty boss that thinks he is funny and he isnt- they are cruel jokes. If you have been in this situation before, then you will enjoy this show.
