It was basically all about split personalities. And Jim Carrey has proved that he can handle that task with other movies such as Ace Ventura, Cable Guy, and Me Myself and Irene. This movie had a lot of disturbing facts displayed to the point of where you think, Is that real? Even though it is Hollywood, The Number 23 is still an awesome movie. To prove my point, Jim Carrey gets caught up in the numerology of 23. I thought the movie was ten times better than all of his other movies. There really is nothing funny about this movie, but it makes you think, and that is why I love this movie. The numerology of the movie is really confusing, but you would never notice the confusion of it, because it will draw you into it and make you think that you could possibly be like that. And thankfully, I do not have a split personality or anything of that nature. But, I will end this just to let everyone else base their opinions for this movie. And remember, I loved this one. Peace. I realize many people will find it difficult to see him play such a disturbing character, but the movie draws you in and keeps the suspense up throughout the movie. If you're looking for the typical goofiness, then this is not the movie for you. But if you're looking for originality with great acting and suspense, then this is a must see. They dont know what they are talking about with this movie. If you wanted to see Jim Carey talking out of his butt, then yes, this is a bad movie. But from the previews it is obviously not a comedy (though he does have some very funny moments in it!) it is a suspense movie. Jim Carry is a very intriguing actor. He does a wonderful job playing a serious dark character. I would recommend this movie to anyone who actually likes seeing a good movie. I will be buying this as soon as it comes out of DVD. I cant even begin to tell you how absolutely terrible this movie is! What a let down! I was really excited about seeing Jim Carrey in a different kind of role ... but I should have passed. The movie was only an hour and a half long but Im so bitter about the time and money that I wasted on it. Not to mention the poor friend that I convinced to go with me. At the beggining it was kinda werid. Jumping from place to place but i quickly became intregued, parts where i was closing my eyes and about to scream out. You think you have it figured out than you go ok it them than you go NO WAY! It was full of suspense and was a mind game that had me at the edge of my seat. Jim Carey still had his funny moments but he is an amazing actor and i think he did a terrific job with this movie. but also shows he funny side....jim carey successfully played this character
like he as done in several movies......i only wonder if the biblical references
they used are true.....it shows how you can take difficult times in your life and try to hid from them....only problem is you can run but you cant hide...
