This Movie is one of my Favorite Comedies of all time. First of all I'm a big Bill Murray fan and this if my favorite movie he's in BY FAR!!! Everytime someone stays at our house I normally ask them if they have seen this movie and usually "Make them Watch it"! If you are EVER in need of a good laugh and some mindless humor I dare you to BUY this movie.

This movie's debut was consistently rated very low by professional critics and reviewers. However, depending on your funny bone, it may end up being a favrotie in your collection.

I have shown, sometimes forcibly, this DVD to several of my friends, and their reactions are varied. They either think it is hilarious, or they find it adolescent and annoying.

If you prefer comedy movies that are realistic, which I feel is basically an oxymoron, then you probabaly lack the imagination necessary to appreciate this movie. Much like ground-hog day, or Ernest Goes to Jail, The Man Who Knew Too Little is purely slapstick kneejerk banter, mixed with situational comedy.

It is imperitive to the overall funniness that you understand the first few scenes, so if you are watching this movie with someone restless or noisy, tell them to shut up and watch in the beginning, or else rewind it and start over.

The details are what make this movie funny, so if you are distracted, the movie quickly loses its shine. For that very same reason, everytime I notice something new that makes it even funnier than the previous time.

It is definitely signature Bill Murray material.
Its like Bob Dylan, you either love him or you hate him.
Bill Murray is a comic genious in my humble opinion. I am in awe of his comic prowess in this movie as well as Groundhog day and quick change. Even his supporting roles, such as in Tootsie are hilarious. I think he should be our Prime Minister.
