The film is great for the family and children. I grew up watching this movie and was enchanted by the colorful yet nostalgic feel of it all. The story though simple, conveys such emotion with the wonderfully composed music (James Horner) and the bleak and dark world the Dinosaurs must journey through. The baby Dinos are very cute, and you get attached to them early on, but don't let that fool you because the film is actually quite sad--Even sadder than Bambi in my opinion. The running time is only a little over an hour, some 20 minutes of scenes were cut from the original, but I don't think it takes away from the core elements.
