Especially the scenes with all the vomiting, seriously funny! Nicole Kidman was good, but Craig wasn't in top form. Two stars for "The Invasion". Was this review helpful? I like Sci-Fi, and I like Nicole and the rest of the cast. And yes, true, this film is a political statement about what happens when people stop thinking for themselves. (If you are now upset at what you just read, you should be upset, and you should be ashamed of yourself.)
Anyway, I thought this film was surprisingly intense, and it times in at about 90 minutes, which is plenty of time to tell a story. Oh, note to Nicole: I love you, dear, but please stop with the botox and whatever else you are doing to your face. You are beautiful. Stop the craziness and age normally like the rest of us. Oh, and Nicole, great move in leaving the nutcase Tom. Was this review helpful? Go see this movie if you don't mind watching 98% of screen time or scenes with Nicole Kidman's facial expressions and curious pompous walk and all about her responding to situations. Oh yeah, with Daniel Craig reduced to a limited background role, in fact, he kind of looked goofy in this movie -- not at all showcasedl.) UGH. Don't waste your money unless you're an obsessive fan of the 40 something actress. She's also wooden in this movie -- rendition of birth, peacekeeper, & to die for. Was this review helpful? OK Nicole isn't the most credible shrink. And there were the usual unbelievable scary movie moments that would never happen in real life. But it was still a fun movie to watch. Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to attend a preview screening of this film. What a waste of time. This is defenitely one of the WORST movies I have ever seen in my life. (I am a movie LOVER. I own hundreds of DVD's and I go to the theatre at least 2-3x per week, trust me, I know my stuff) THANK GOD I did not waste any money to see it although I did waste 2 hours of my life. I would have rather of been licking sand paper for 2 hours or playing dodge a car on the 405 fwy! Yes people, it is that BAD! Fair warning to ALL.
