OMG....Cant believe we sat through the whole thing waiting for something to interesting to happen, as many groups of people kept getting up an leaving. The one I saw was a fascinating depiction of a pathological liar and sociopath who created his own nightmare within a larger context of subtle corperate crime. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Had it been before dinner, we could have salvaged the mood. I love Matt Damon and think he is an awesome actor but this movie was so very unworthy of his talent. He must have owed someone a BIG favor.
If I knew then what I know now, someone would have had to pry the $18 I paid out of my clenched fist, tied me to the chair, and put toothpicks in my eyes to keep them open! That is how awful it was. We want our two hours back (plus the 30 minutes of trailers and ads!)
Awful meandering boring dreary confusing plot. And that's the good stuff. We would've turned the channel if we were watching it for free at home.
This was our 'date night' movie. Nothing happening at our house tonight!

He was either one smart cookie, or incredibly naive. Everytime you think he has told the true story, he hasn't.
Still not sure what the total truth might be. Found it very entertaining, the acting was great! Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Wonder where the rest of the money is?
