Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Hot Rock, lots of funPosted: 5/29/2003A review of The Hot Rock by Anonymous The Hot Rock is just a real fun movie, from start to finish, Robert Redford and George Segal play well off of each other, and Ron Leibman and Paul Sands add to the chemistry, just 4 great guys doing something really nutty together, you cheer for them start to finish, even though what they are doing is fundamentally wrong, Zero Mostel is, as always, a gem, and when they have the "Chicken" character do a number on him, well it's grand. I have never been ableto find a rental version of this film or aretail version. This film combines great action sequenceswith almost ";at times"; slapstick humor.Many tense moments are relieved by a wellplaced comical phrase or action. Every actor and actress in this film is well castand the performances are rememberable by all.Without disclosing the story I can saythe movie is about stealing a diamond.And restealing it and restealing it and ....If you like laughs and explosions and highspeed car scenes all wrapped up into a wellbalanced story .... then this is a must seefor anyone of any age.
