This movie is not good on any level other then maybe production values. The plot is dysfunctional, the acting is mediocre and there just isnt much in the way of scares to be had in this movie.
Regardless if you liked or disliked The Grudge this sequel just is not worth wasting your time on. Very disappointing. Was this review helpful? its real good if you have surround sound.

They kill her to early therefore elimiinating a star part. The special effects were excellant and there were great writing for scary and horrifying scences. I thought was a great sequel but doesnt leave any room for a trilogy. I think this series is ended, unless you go back to basics with Sarah Michele Geller. But it is definently a 3 or 3.5 rating. Good rental with the light off! But woudnt buy, because I dont think Id watch it twice. Was this review helpful? the only thing i liked about it was the twist that it went beyond the house n affected this buiding in the US coz a gurl carried it there or sumthing

My dad jumped soooo many times and I was on the edge of my seat!!!! It was so creepy and suspenseful. Plus it was unique and I was excited for the whole movie!!!! I want to buy this movie sooo badly! I think that why most people dont like it is because you have to think to understand it and people dont want to think in a horror movie!! if people really paid attention they would have no trouble following the three plots of the movie!! the main thing to realise is that the one plot takes place immdiantly after the first movie but the other 2 take place two or three years later!!!!! but the main thing is to THINK when watching the movie pay attention to what is happening and dont talk, and giggle with your friends. I went and saw it with a few of my friends friday night and we werent scared, at parts we did jump but not like we were covering or faces or screaming out loud like we like to! It appears that most of the people were expecting a best picture movie. Lets get for real here folks! It has a 2 behind the title and they are never as good as the first.
Those that did not understand the movie were either text messaging during the movie or would not have understood it even if the director came out after the movie to explain. If you would just stop and think for a minute, the second movie explained the first and it set up it self for a third movie.
The sounds were explained. The grudge itself was explained. Even the confusing part of the movie (the opening scene) was explained at the end. While again it is not a best picture, enough people walked out of the theater pleased. Was this review helpful? This movie made absolutely no sense and it had no comparisons to the first Grudge. The plot did not make sense and what a dissappointing ending. It was a little scarier than the first but at least the first made more sense. They try to explain how she became the way she is . she basically wanted to kill people just for the hell of it. The yelling in theaters did not make the movie better instead more annoying. I think most of the girls that were yelling in the theater just did it for attention. I would suggest the originally made grudge which is the japanese version. The ghost were severly overused and they where just killing anyone and everyone....wasnt it supposed to only kill people who went in the house? There were way too many things that just didnt add up. It was a waste of 10 bucks and definatly a wast of my hour and a half. I dont see how anyone can defend this movie, but to those who insist it was a good movie, why dont you try explaining the ending. I swear this movies leaves you with more questions than answers.
