The music is what really defines this movie as a cult masterpiece, eerie and haunting, it lingers on in your mind long after the movie is over. Amy Irving gives a great performance as the young Gillian who is looking for her soulmate, Robin, who is played by Andrew Stevens. You really have to have read the book to understand the subtlety of their relationship. If you want to see a really young Darryl Hannah, you catch a quickie of her here. The implication of an Agency that doesn't exist (The Shop) smacks of Steven King's "Firestarter". A good weekend movie if you just want to laze around, pair it up with "Scanners" and some banana splits.
