The most awaited movie at long last staring Jackie Chan & Jet Li now RELEASED in the big screen. It is a funtastic, funny martial arts action pack. My daugther is an avid fan of Jet Li and I am a funatic fan of Jackie Chan (my Asian Hero) a very funny legendary Chinese martial master,so delightful to watch his CHARACTER. My son is avid fan of both masters of all masters in martial art, we all enjoyed and loved it. Why look for flaws, we watched movies to be entertained, this one absolutely delivered what we have anticipated. Added the boy from the future traveling thru a portal toward the past life who has no clue what he is into; no knowledge of fighting, however with training by both marital arts masters hand in hand, he become a hero in the past life till he returns in his own time, able to stand up for himself and fight back the bullies who were after him due to his connection with the keeper of the ancient -legendary weapon. I can hardly wait till this Jackie Chan and Jet Li - awesome performance together-comedy, action, fantasy packed all in one comes in DVD. It is worth buying and watching over and over. I tell you.!!! It is a must see movie for those who have not seen it.

Movie has a story that is right up there with The Princess Bride, and to me has the same air about it - but with a very Chinese twist. I actually liked the story better. Jackie Chan is still in top condition and at his best – he’s simply amazing. I literally walked into the movie not knowing what to expect because I had some time to waste and was delightfully surprised it was a Jackie Chan flick – but then the whole thing literally blew me away. The character of the boy that was crazy about Chinese fight films, but who was totally wimpy reminded me of Jonathan Brandis in “Sidekicks” except instead of Chuck Norris, this kid gets both Jackie Chan and Jet Li as his mentors. The action was astounding – right out of a Chinese production. Never mind the choreographed moves, the speed, power and raw skill is what makes them a success. It’s a success story where the boy finds his courage, saves the day, and gets the girl. Oh yeah, the gals in the Chinese part of the story are just as dangerous as the guys.

Jet Li and Jackie Chan worked really well in this movie. I couldn't stop laughing. It had an awsome story line.

Thought the movie was very good entertainment. Came to the end though and realized this movie had a parallel line to another movie. You have a boy sent back to return a staff, gets 3 travelers along the way who help him. There is a witch and a flying monkey. The god (good witch) at the end sends him home. I can even make an arguement for for the great and powerful Oz. Anyway, great fight scenes and Jackie Chan and Jet Li don't let you down.

Good for the whole family. Entertaining for all ages. Yes, if you are somewhat familar with the folktails of the orient it is somewhat predictable but it did not matter. The acting was good. Jackie Chan stepped out of the Police Story and sidekick template and showed that he has deeper talent. It was not Shakespear but it was good to see a different character that he was able to make it a real character and not Jackie playing a character. Jet looked like he had fun making the movie as well. I would like to see the more of the team as it reminded me of kind of Bob & Bing on the road to somewhere Asian style wit martial arts. Lastly, I am famous in my fmaily for picking bad movies to see. My family forgave all past errors because of this one movie.

I can't believe my son "dragged" me to a kung-fu movie! Ok, Ok, Jackie Chan is worth looking at, a lot. But kung-fu? *sigh* I sat on the edge of my seat, when I wasn't laughing so hard I was crying, or jumping up and down for the good guys. And these two masters together? The duel was martial art, art yes, martial? It was truely beautiful. Poetry in lion's strength. And this kid Michael, I didn't know him but I'm keeping an eye out for him in the future. Pretty cool stuff. Even the women are dangerous as well as knock outs, yeah us! Gotta see this one, more than once.

Just like the title of this review states: slow, boring, and predictable. I went in with an expectation of great action and comedy, but found neither one. Jackie Chan was pretty good as a drunk, but that was not enough to make this film interesting or funny. Jet Li, it seems, can't act at all. The Asian women, who were supposed to be fierce and strong, ended up just annoying. Get it on DVD, but only if you've been dumped and are lonely, there is nothing on TV, and no library nearby.

That's why everyone goes to the movie! To be entertained, not find flaws just like others do. How would anyone enjoy any movie when you're so busy looking for the editor's mistakes? A piece of advise to those "perfect" people: DON'T go to any of these theatres if you can't keep to yourselves what you see. Remember, this is not a perfect world and no one's perfect either!

Awesome movie! Jet Li & Jackie Chan did an amazing job....yes the story could use a little improving, but overall a short & very entertaining 2 hours. Most folks that love Li & Chan like I do want to see lots of fight sequences & there is more than enough of that. There was fighting & action around every corner. Remember, this is NOT supposed to be reality....it's martial arts fantasy!! Definitely see this on the big screen!!

I have long been a big kung fu movie fan and hold both Jet Li and Jackie Chan in the highest regard. That’s why it is so painful to say that this was one of THE WORST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN! Like most martial arts fans, The previews looked so good, and three minutes into the movie, it seemed to be about to deliver everything that I had hoped for. Jet Li is effortlessly taking out an army of soldiers on top of a mountain and as he is about to put the finishing touches on his mile high kung fu blood mosaic, the audience is abruptly yanked from the edge of its seats and into some dorky teenager’s bedroom. It was at this moment that I realized that I’d been had. It turns out that the movie is not so much about two legendary kung fu masters as it is about some dorky suburban teenager from Boston. Not much plot here either. An all powerful monkey king is double crossed and frozen in stone and its up to some kid to bring back his magic monkey stick before the movie goes over budget with pointless CGI Effects. I can hear the sales pitch for this movie now. “It’s like The Never-ending Story meets Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with a splish splash of Mortal Kombat thrown in {snort}. I’m telling you Jim, It’s gold, SOLID GOLD {snoooort..sniff sniff}“. They also managed to cover all of the bases as far as cliches. The most offensive of which is what I like to call Karate Kid Syndrome. It occurs when you take a non-athletic white kid (Or Tom Cruise) with absolutely NO martial arts training, throw together a brief montage of him doing push ups, and in in three days he is an unstoppable kung fu killing machine able to cripple any human being no matter how many decades of training they have on him. I could go on and on but I think that this should be fair enough warning. If you don’t believe me then go ahead and listen to the 11 year olds who gave this movie 5 stars. Otherwise, you’d be better off paying a mentally handicapped teenager from Boston $10 to kick you in the head.

IF you go to see a move called " Juresic Park", you would like to see a lot of " Dragon" in the movie, when they talk too much, you fall into sleep!! This movie, I found worth every dine of your money, if you like fighting scene, the entire move never stop fighting, unless it is necessary to narray the setting of the story or giving out the truth: such as , "not ot hate" , during one necessary conversation, or "showing the love" , when Jackie near his death. Every scene has been carefully crafted, in photography, in animation, in connection of different segments. Pretty work!! I have not seen any other kung-fu movie devoted so much in its post production work in the last 30 years. One thing I found flawed was when Jet lee found Jason went secretly , jet lee's horse was running on a nicely paved , perfectly shaped " concret pavement path", that's impossiable to find anywhere in ancient time.------That's the only flaw.

Considering that fact that both of these actors are martial arts legends, I was expecting a better performance. When I first saw the trailer, I was expecting something extraordinary, but seeing the movie, my level of excitement bottomed out. It's one of theose moveis that is scoped for a young male that's unpopular, and get's picked on alot in school. I guess the best description is that it's a motivational movie. I was expecting an adult based movie, and watched something more geared for a teenager.
