If they would have dropped those scenes all together the movie would have kept its integrity. With those scenes it becomes merely a side show for past movies and glory. Was this review helpful? But I have to say I just love these "Expendables" movies. They some hilarious references to the old movies. They go as far as repeating the famous lines then playing off of them as a poke. I was completely entertained. The theater was full of people who were obviously enjoying the lines as much as I was because there were snickers and out and out guffaws during the movie. I really enjoyed the movie...still not thrilled with the blood and guts gushing everywhere but loved the quick wit. It was great fun! Was this review helpful? It was ment to be fun , intertertaining and packed with action and it delivers on that. I think all of us wanted for years to see all the old school action heros together and Stallone bad it happen. All though a few corny lines between em it still was great to have them all in on movie. Loved seeing Chuck "freaking" Norris back in assualt

Now I am a #1 fan of all the Rambo, Terminator, Die Hard ect movies but this was just terrible. The story was non existant and the action was meaningless. The 1st Expendables was no oscar winner either but was MUCH better than this one. And all the stupid one liners really need to go, it cheapens the movie and isn't funny. It's always good to see the action 80's actors. Claude and Chuck and Arnold looks really old though. Stallone still kinda looks the same as in the Rambo days. Saw the first show on the opening day. It's hard to review a movie without providing details and ruining it. It is certainly an action film, but it's hollow! The people in the audience were all excited about seeing the enemy blown to pieces, and there were a lot of pieces! But the story line was weak. This version of Expendables did what it was expected to do-draw people in with big name stars! The first Expendables was believable. It had a story with feeling. This one is just about blowing things up! A little too fake...come on. A million bullets flying in the team's direction, and none of them get so much as a nose bleed! A couple of the stars got nearly no face time. The fights were soooo fake and over the top! And then there is the addition of two new faces. Why? They added nothing to the story. The ONLY reasons this movie will get good ratings is for Chuck and Arnold and Bruce and Jean Claude. Not saying they did a great job either...Arnold forgot how to shoot a heavy gun. I don't think Chuck hit anyone! If he tried a spinning back kick, he might have broken his hip! Was this review helpful?
