This is a major part of the movie going experience. Unless one can get a local "re-run" theator to play THE EXORCIST you will NEVER get the true experience that is intended by going to the theator. Too bad for all you clowns that only rent. Is the CRAB WALK!!!!!!!! different on the DVD than it was in the movie??? The movie version was better. Another movie "fau paux" ...but this one has to be the worst in movie history...CRAB WALK would have absolutely cleared the theators back in good ol' 1973!!!! AAARRRRR
UUUUUUGHHHHHHORRRRRRRUUUUUUUGHHHH MERRIIIIIIIIIN!!!!!!!!! Was this review helpful? Its hilariously entertaining, some of the things the possessed child says and does hahaha quoteLet Jesus F!!K YOU!! Let Jesus F!!K YOUendquote and other such sexual comments were so funny I couldnt be scared.
I think the only people who find this movie scary are females who are religious fanatics.
Kubricks The Shining and Hitchcocks Psycho were much better classic horror films because they really get into you head and keep you up at night. Was this review helpful? We rented it from Blockbuster and popped it in an old VHS player and I discovered what fear is. The possibility that Satan can take over my body.
Whoa!
The EHTS (Hollywood True Story) is fantastic too. I really dont think studios take chances on movies llike this. I tihnk if you want to have a discovery, like I did on my friends bed in the middle of the night one Halloween, youhave to crash a film festival. All Freakin Night is my favorite, but that is only in Olympia, WA. 8 Films to Die for will be in 35 cities across the country and the rumor is it blows all the recent horror OUT OF THE WATER!
I pray for another Excorcist. Was this review helpful? I have seen all of the other sequals and they dont even come close to comparing. I think the scariest thing about this movie is that it did actually happen but it was a 14 year old boy instead of a 12 year old girl and they wrote the movie off of the story of the boy. I am not giving this movie 5 five stars because i like it. I am giving it 5 star simply because it is HORRIFYINGLY SCARY!!!! Just seeing that demon face that flashes quickly periodically throughout the film make me want to scream bloody murder and run away from the computer. (okay it's not THAT scary, but you get the point) Watch it if you're brave enough :) (Ok ill admit it i'm not) Was this review helpful? The girl playing the pocessed female is a very good young actor and i don't think i could ever play that part. If you want a scary, creepy movie for the weekend rent this because its good. That's the only way... When I saw the spiderwalk I could not put myself through mental torture. The piano score in the opening credits is enough to stand the hair up on my back. Hey, everyone is afraid of something, right? Was this review helpful? Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent movie, and very entertaining. But, it is actually very funny, not scary. Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 8/21/2004A review of The Exorcist by DeadUnic0rnDoll This is my favorite horror movie of all time, I think it is the best. No one can compare any other movie to this or remake it and make it better. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 8/30/2004A review of The Exorcist by waterkolorblue This is by far the most scary, mind boggling, nightmarish, haunting, and believable movie I have ever seen in my life. It is ,to this day, the most horrifying movie. The sequels did not compare or even come close to the original. It is, and continues to be, the one movie I watch, with my hands over my eyes. It gives me chills, just listening to the music. Very realistic!<br> Was this review helpful? Sign In | ||
