There is waste!; and SLOTH!!..... and the head office is determined to get to the bottom of it. But a ";spy";, is needed; someone who could go completely unnoticed in the various departments and still keep a weather eye on things. That someone is Morty S. Tashman; more or less, a studio stooge who is recruited to the mail room in his guise as snoop. But Morty isn't the strange presence he pretends. As he goes from place to place he leaves an innocence and naivete that transcends the tinsel facade creating a new resource for the Paramutual myth makers. This is Jerry's first solo project which consequently made his name in Hollywood circles and established a new career for him after his break-up with Dean Martin. Some wonderfully funny and touching moments supported by a carefully cast group of character people including Stanley Adams and his 'screen door'. Was this review helpful?
