THIS MOVIE WAS BAD I MEAN BAD AS IN I WISH I NEVER SAW IT.
I ACTUALLY NEVER FINISHED IT BECAUSE I GOT SO ANNOYED WITH THE ACTING.
JOHNNY I LOVE U BUT THIS WASNT YOUR BEST WORK

Other than that, the acting was HORRIBLE, the accents were not believable, and aside from the names, it has nothing really to do with the original series. Jessica Simpson was there more to show off her fake boobs than to act, she was pitiful, besides, in the series Daisy was a brunette. Bo just wanted to have sex with girl he saw, and Luke wanted to do the General Lee, what is that?!! This was the crappiest movie I have seen in a LONG time!! Was this review helpful? Loved this show when I was a kid but the movie changed many of the real characters. Too bad. I agree Jessica Simpsons accent was terrible shes from Texas! I just dont understand why they steered soo far from the show. Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg? Hes great but too intelligent in this movie to play the part. Cooter is like a disgusting lech instead of a good friend. Uncle Jesse has a girlfriend? Dont get it. Another example of how remakes get ruined. Was this review helpful? I only gave it one STAR because that was as low as the rating scale goes! I would really give it a minus -5 if I could. I liked Jackass better than this and that wasnt that great of a movie. This movie has to be ranked at the bottom with Ishtar with Dustin hoffman and warren beatty! it was AWFUL, I walked out in the middle, could not take anymore, and who is Jessicas acting coach, she cant ACT Period!Dont rent the dvd or watch it on pay per view, it really is that BADDDDDDD! F- and please trust me! I go to the movies a lot at the AMC 16, at least a movie a week, and this takes the CAKE!Shame on the Producer and the Studio Warner Brothers......better luck next time fool! It was ok but Seann Scott and Willie and Jessica were the only ones I liked in the movie. It could have been more humorous. I love the old Dukes of Hazzard. It seemed more natural. This movie seemed too fake, Like someone decided one day they would put together a movie. Sorry but that is just the way it seemed. That does not mean I discredit the actors or actresses, they were great. I went because I love the people in it and thought it would be good. Wait until it comes out on DVD, if you have not seen it. They didn't even show the correct way they got the car. Then the thing that really upset me was that they put the hemi in the car when the Charger RT came stock with a 440 which has a lot more power than a 5.8 hemi or if you want to be technical 5.79 liter. Not only has television hit an all time low, lets make trash movies to entertain the uneducated masses.To make a quick buck all involved in the making of this movie should be ashamed. I have not, and will not see this movie...even if it was free. It's nothing more than one more giant leap backwards in American society.
I'd like to welcome all of you flying the Confederate flag to the United States of America. Our flag has 50 stars on a blue background compelmented by 13 red and white strips. It represents the 50 states and 13 colonies that became this great country. The Confederate flag represents a racist and intolerant attitude. I appreciate the fact you like to display it, this helps me avoid you.
A car named "the general lee" with your second place trophy painted on top...wow, embrace your loss, it's ok. Oh by the way the door handles on that orange car are broken, just thought i'd let you know. But i did notice the fix for that, jump through the window! Problem solved. Could be an indication of why the Union won. That's what i love about America...freedom. Freedom to remind "ya'll" that you lost, the Dukes of Hazzard is racist trash, and the rest of the world is laughing at you.

I was aware of the poor reviews before I went, and was prepared to be disappointed. I was worried that it would be ruined by their severe deviation from the tv series. When I was a kid, that was my favorite show of all time. Even though the movie was quite different, it turned out to be awesome. My eleven year old son and I had a wonderful time watching it. It was full of adrenaline and had us excited the whole time. What I don’t understand is why all the critics gave it such low marks. I think you guys are probably all nerds. Maybe you just have a complex about your small penises. So I am curious: nerds or small dicks? Please answer, because I am confused. Are you the type of people who think a Picasso painting is worth thousands of dollars (my son painted better than that in kindergarten)? Was this review helpful? It's a grown-up movie with sexuality, some profanity, car chases, and other grown-up themes.

My thoughts on the remake of, "The Dukes of Hazzard" is that you can't go by what you viewers have said about this movie. As I read them before watching the movie in theatres is that most of you hated it, because it was nothing like the television series and the characters were a little off base from the characters in the series. I think the reason why you 'die-hard duke fans' hated the movie is becaue the cast was too young to play the origonal cast.
It is a remake of the series, but who would want to go see a movie remake just like the origonal? I think the changes and modernization for the movie is what made it good. It was a modern comedy remake of a classic television series and if you can't get over that aspect then of course you're goint to hate the movie.
Yes, I do believe Jessica Simpson was first cast for the movie because her body and big celebrity name would draw in viewers that may have not watched the movie otherwise. As well as the choice of Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville to play the Duke duo. I am a fan of the series, but hating the movie just because it isn't like the series seems a bit unfair as with everything, nothing is better then the origonals. Was this review helpful?
