Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Its the End of the WorldPosted: 12/29/2007A review of The Day After Tomorrow by NYRosie When I look back on this particular film, There seems to be subtle notes on how Our World is turning; The changing weather is so unpredictable, and our rivers seems to be overflowing and making vegetation grow in unexpected sites.Imagine that Arizona,(used to be cactus and dry desert area), has changed through pouring rain! The tragedy of flood areas like Louisiana,Mississippi, and Texas is incredible.We can only predict what happens, but this movie is a sad reality check on the path Man is following.

1. Evacuating the whole southern half of the U.S. would be a joke. We cannot even evacuate one state during a hurricane. How can any person believe that 200 million people could be evacuated to Mexico in two days?
2. Who in their right mind would walk from Philadelphia to New York City during an arctic snowstorm while dragging 100 pounds of gear? The trip would take weeks in that type of snowstorm.
3. With all the trapped survivors in the northern U.S., how can we believe that the government would launch a massive rescue operation in New York? They couldnt even deal with Hurricane Katrina very well.
4. How would closing a door prevent the deadly frozen air? Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  A good movie, but not too excitingPosted: 3/13/2007A review of The Day After Tomorrow by Cybertronics0 I always wanted to see this movie, but when i saw it, i think they spent way too much time off when they were talking about the strom and of course they had to have the idiot who said oh theres no danger we wont evactuate. That would get any one to roll their eyes because it happens in any movie. The movie scenes jump around too much, but i could follow them. The wolve scene was so horrible i mean (Im an computer artist so artist pay attention to every single little detail) I could see some of the pixels move and be transparent. There is so much computer animtion slacking in this movie that they should have just made it a computer generated movie. Of course in every movie there is the make out scene between someone. the one girl and boy know they like each other blah blah she gets a cut on her leg blah about to die if they dont get help blah blah the boy makes out with her blah blah I mean you can except whats going to happen. The frost freezes eevrything within a second and everyone has to run to get inside, duh, their going to freeze inside too, its funny because its movie is not real, but kind of real at the same time.
I mean, this movie is orginal enough to keep you there saying oh my god their so stupid but orginial to...keep you there saying oh my god this is so stupid

I think that this movie brought the issue definitely to the point. I recommend showing this movie in school classes as an educational example. Scary and beautiful in the same moment are the special effects. I never saw anything more realistic looking ever.
I expect so see something like this again ... maybe about the global continent plateaus shifting … ***************************** stars all over this movie! Was this review helpful? How stupid is the audience expected to be??? The effects were okay, but the premise was absolutely uninteresting. Wolves preying on the only people left in New York City??? Yeah, okay...could happen, right??...yeah, right. The whole scientific value of the film was completely over"screwed" by the complete lack of imagination with the script. I'm not a writer, but give me 30 minutes and I'd produce a script worth two more cents than this piece of crap. The only reason I gave it one star is because I couldn't give it any less. I didn't like the ending at all - horrible ending. But the special effects were amazing. I can think of a more stupid plot, of more undramatic and excessive special effects and of a more unentertaining movie. My 13 old son was so disappointed that he proposed to call the movie "The non-day". If there was an award for "Best disastrous" movie, I would gladly give it to this remarkable trashy film..
