I Liked it, but the Joker was pretty creepy. My favorite villian was Two-Face.

This was a below average action/ superhero movie, nothing spectacular like it was made out to be. Heath Ledger was not memorable as the Joker, Nicholson played it MUCH better. I kept waiting for the big scene where the Joker really stands out but it never comes. The story was way too long, it was one of those movies I found myself looking at my watch wondering if it would be over soon. There was way too much story around Batman wanting to retire, looking for a hero to replace him and the people calling for Batman to turn himself in because he is a vigilante??? WHAT??? since when would the public be crying out for a vigilante to turn himself in with a madman killing people at will?? Come on I don't know what world the writers live in but in this universe a vigilante like Batman would have a higher approval rating than Obama the day after election.

This movie was excellent indeed! I could watch it over and over. (Even though the movie is quite long.) Of couse, throughout the movie, people couldn't wait to see the appearance of Heath Ledger, playing as the Joker (R.I.P.) and see the funny, yet evil things he would do. He played an excellent role in the movie and stole the spotlight from Batman himself. Alot of people liked this movie, obviously. Ok, LOVED this movie. It is a very enjoyable movie, honestly, but it definetly is too overrated. Although, this movie didn't quite have an ending. But, children that are a little younger than eight shouldn't watch this movie because this movie is a little terrifiying to those who get scared easily. But, all in all, great movie. <3 XD

The Dark Night was definitley unique but I have to say that it can get very horrible forsome kids and characters are not exactly pleasant all the time. When I saw it was even a little scary for me. But people who like suspense and super hero stuff only scarier I highly recommend it for. It can really get kinda scary when it comes to Joker so don't take little kids to see it!

this movie was the best movie last year, hands down...granted that Bale's voice did get a little annoying at some points, but overall the movie was fantastic and it has raised the bar on any other comic book heroes that will come out...there were a few things i noticed when watching the movie...When Harvey Dent was about to do something that went against he was fighting for there was always a shadow on half of his face...(e.g. when he picked up "Rachel Dawes" and was going to shoot him.)..Heath Ledger personified how unpredicatable and maniacal the Joker is. The sequel will have to be just as dark as this or even darker...it will be a tough act to follow but it can be done

Am I the only person on this campus who didn't like this movie? Probably. It was not that good. I found it rather boring.

First off I should say this is by far the best movie I have ever seen. Being someone who isn't in to those dark, scary, "loud", dark..movies. I agreed to see this. I had seen Brokeback mountain, and Ledger was great. But who knew, he was absolutely incredible on every inch of the word. Bale and Gylenhaal were amazing to, but no offense Joker took the show! R.I.P Heath, you will be missed. Congrats on your Oscar!

By far the best comic book movie I have ever seen (and one of the best I've seen in a few years.) Heath Ledger did an amazing job in this movie. If you didn't already know he was playing Joker, there is no way you would possibly know it is him (if you're being truthful.) Christian Bale does an equally great job as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I actually like Maggie Gyllenhahl as "Rachael Dawes" better than I did Katie Holmes. Aaron Eckhart was great as Harvey Dent/Two-Face as well as Gary Oldman as "Gordon". I hope and pray that they do the third movie in this new series and Christian Bale comes back to do the movie. I know he is getting expensive, but the money they will make will dwarf the money it will take to get him back. Christopher Nolan deserved an oscar nom as director (but the academy will never give it to him.) I don't think Heath would have gotten his nomination, let alone win had he not died (which is a shame because he more than deserved it.)

This is by far the greatest movie i have ever seen. It is easily the best of the Batman movies. I absolutely loved this movie. Batman wasn't the one that made this movie amazing, nor was it Gordon. It was Joker, Heath Ledger's work made this movie the movie it is. Only at the end of the movie does Batman get the spot light back. MUST BUY!!!

This was absolute masterpiece of story writing and film making. Ledger's Joker will go down as the greatest performance of a comic book villian. Christopher Nolan has done an absolutely masterfull job of resurrecting the Batman franchise that was nearly extinct, no thanks to those circus-like, trainwreck sequals Joel Schumacher created, in the mid-90's, for the kiddies to enjoy. Actually, Tim Burton's vision wasn't much better. (A pudgy middle-aged, balding Joker??? Give me a break.) This is what comic book films should be...accurate, edgy , and pushing buttons. After having to endure the melodramatic Spiderman disasters that Sam Raimi created (If you disaggree, just ask yourself why was it necessary for Peter Parker to cry in each movie?) We get two films that are absolutely perfect and, for once, not directed toward making the families happy for a change. The pressure will be on Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan to create a third sequal worthy of the first two films. However, I have no doubt they both, especially Nolan, will find a way to create, or perhaps complete the greatest comic-book trilogy of all-time (That is, if they don't screw it up). The Dark Knight, like Batman Begins, was perfect and has changed the standard along with Iron Man, for better-made comic book films. Hopefully this will be the death-knell of the disneyesque films such as X-Men 3 and Ghost Rider, just to name few more recent disasters.

I have never seen a movie franchise with a sequel that is better than the original. all i can say is wow. this movie had excellent acting, great visual effects, a great story line, and great music. it is by far the best movie of the year. i cannot believe that heath ledger did not win supporting actor at the oscar's. Christian Bale, Maggie G, Morgan Feeman, Christopher Nolan, Aaron Eckhart, and Heath Ledger did a fantastic job.... Five stars.

I'm a huge fan of Batman, and I read the comics a lot. This movie was pretty good, but it's definately not the best movie ever made, not by a LOONG shot. One thing that bugged me about this film was Two-Face's appearance. He dosn't appear until the last 1/4 of the film and then he just dies. Two-Face is my favorite Batman villain, and I truly believe that he wasn't at all necessary in the film, sort of like how Sandman wasn't necessary in Spiderman 3. Also, when you think it's over, there's still another half hour left. This film drags on for a really long time, and it's sort of depressing. Superhero movies are supposed to be upbeat and fun, which is why i'd prefer Iron-Man over this movie. Now, one thing I did like about it was the Joker. Heath Ledger was fantastic, and in no way do I think his role got over-publicized because Heath Ledger died. He was really like the Joker that appeared in the really early Batman comics in the 40s, where he's dark yet funny at the same time. I can't decide who my favorite is, because Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero both play completely different Jokers. This movie isn't the best superhero movie, (I personally like Iron-Man, Spiderman (1 and 2), Superman (1 and 2), and Tim Burton's Batman), and it is definately waaay overrated, but it is way better than Batman Begins. I give this movie a 7.2 out of 10. In the next Batman movie (which I believe is called "Gotham"), I know Johnny Depp is playing the Riddler, but I would also like to see Mr. Freeze. Robin definately shouldn't be added into the mix, but a sidekick should be added, preferably Bat-hound. Yeah, that'd be awesome. Or Bat-Mite. That be amazing. Actually, they should have Batman fight Dracula. The battle of the bats. I would so see it.
