And the next day I went out and bought it. Yes, it does have some bad stuff such as drugs and language, but hey, life's like that too. I especially enjoyed the performance by Kieran Culkin and Emile Hirsch. Those two make an awsome team. I am addicted to this movie!! Was this review helpful? It's easy to relate to, easy to watch, and easy to love. Kieran Culkin does an impressive job of playing Tim Sullivan without blocking anyone else out. The film mainly deals with the friendship of two teen males. I thought this had depth without having creepy, sentimental, inaccurate ideas of what teenage friendships are like and as a teen myself, I appreciated this.The setting of deep forest, common streets and the icy catholic school go well with the story. It feels authentic and calming.The animation was a good idea, since that's the character's interest and it's a nice relief from the usual narrative style of coming-of age films.Flowing script, good direction, nice visual ideas.I will definitely watch it again and again and again. I like the plot, because i found it very interesting. The only thing i didn't like was the animation, it sort of interfers with the movie and is in a way pointless. As soon as it started I knew I'd like it. This is a great movie about growing up and dealing with life. The animation is awesome. The acting is amazing.
