What a piece of crap!!! I expected this to be a good movie because so many people call it a cult classic. Classic piece of crap. I think the only reason this movie is popular is because a bunch of stupid wanna be goth High school kids think that its dark and goth. It was a boring, poorly written, poorly acted piece of junk. Brandon Lee is nowhere near his father in acting ability. I guess you can rent it, but Id rather have a hot sauce enema

I think this movie would have been much better if Robert Rodriguez or Quentin Tarantino directed it because these guys have the genre down pat and would have made a more powerful movie with better lines than Is that gasoline I smell? I also didnt like Brandon Lees acting I think his father would be ashamed. The story itself is awesome, and should have been better than it was, imo

This is an awesome movie. The greatest thing of all about it is that it proves a point. Buildings burn, people die, but true love is forever. I beleive in that. And honestly, I think the sequals to this movie literally brought it down over the years. The sequals are worse. The guys that portray Brandon Lees character from this movie are simply terrible. Has anyone seen The Crow City of Angels? Its terrible, because I could understand how the guy was trying to be like Brandon in every way, but it was a failure. Brandon Lee is what the movie is all about. And ever notice that the other movies never had Brandon Lee? The reason is obvious He died after making this movie which I found to be incredibly depressing. I mean, this movie shows Brandon Lee at his best, even though he does play a dead man. Its still incredibly awesome. If I had enough money that one time I went to the mall, I seriously wouldve bought this movie, but it was like 5.00, and all I had to my name was a dollar.

This movie portrayed Brandon Lee as a fabulous actor. The storyline, the acting, and the special effects are incredible. I own this on DVD and watch it at least once a month.

I can understand why people like this movie: the gothic landscape, nice images, good ghost story. The reason why I'm only giving it 1 star is that the rape scenes come across as titillating. Imagine if the sexes were reversed in that movie: the female avenger, the male victim. Hmm, maybe the numerous close ups of the men enjoying themselves for a good long stretch wouldn't be so appealing. Or give it a go for Crow 3?

I cannot find a single flaw with 'The Crow'.The acting is stunning, and Brandon Lee, (rest in peace), in particular delivered an incredible performance as the dark protagonist. The story is very well-written , at some times very angst-ridden, at other times darkly funny. Also worth mentioning are the wicked soundtrack and even more wicked action sequences. A gothic, dramatic movie with both an awesome story AND thrilling action, anybody with a taste for dark flicks should check out The Crow. Heck, even if you aren't into that kind of thing, check it out anyway! You might be surprised!

This movie was very good. It was dark and full of action. I did not know this was a comicbook, i bet it is awesome. Back to the story. it was great, i love the big fight scene towards the end, and i felt bad that brandon lee had died making this film, he and his father went out making great films.

I originally saw The Crow on Cinemax one night boredly flipping through channels. I didn't catch the whole thing so I'd always scout it out and watch it again. Eventually I caught the entire thing and now own the movie myself. It's an enthralling tale and has some of the best acting I've seen. With the ten year anniversary not so far away I hope they re-release a 'special edition' in theater's or some kind of thing like that.

Funny thing is, before Brandon Lee (The Crow) died, he was scheduled to be married, like his character. It's just a strange coiencidence. I enjoyed this movie greatly and recommend it to all. The last work of Brandon Lee, a masterpiece.

This movie has to be my all-time favorite. The storyline was great, it was fresh (at the time) and new. The sadness of the fact that Brandon Lee is no longer with us make me horribly sad, since his acting in this film was utterly amazing. The sequels can jump off the face of the earth, Brandon Lee IS The Crow.

this was the best movie ive ever seen! my mom always talked about it and we listened to the soundtrack all the time, and then we rented it, and i couldn't get over hot brandon lee looked with all that awesome makeup! and then i saw salvation, and even though it wasn't as good as the first one, it was great all on its own! i loved the outfits, the music and all the sets and characters.

The Crow is a film of romance, rage, revenge, and passion. What more could you ask for in a movie? Brandon Lee's final preformance was a great rendition of J. O'barr's classic graphic novel. Michael Wincott played an amazing opposite role to Brandon's Eric Draven. This film is one of, if not, the movie of choice in my opinion. I can watch it over and over again, because I feel that this is one of a few films that makes the viewer reflect on what they can lose in life. It also shows amazingly the darker side of life that many people are ashamed to admit they have. Brandon Lee is the only true Crow and he will always have fans around the world that would agree.

I have had to get new copys of this movie time and time again, I watch it so much that the tapes wear out. This is by far, the best movie I own or have even seen. The first 50 times you see this movie, you feel the passion Eric feels, you feel the remorse Eric feels, you suffer the same loss Eric suffers. The next 50 times you watch it, you are a part of Eric and he is a part of you. Even though you know every word to this movie by now, it can't get old. Almost every emotion you can feel is in this movie. Eric may be part of the undead, but with all the emotion and passion he has in him, he is more human than anyone. If you haven't seen this movie, rent it. You have seen this movie, go watch it again.

First off I would like to agree with all the other reviewers, Brandon Lee was a devestating loss to all who admired him.I was a Brandon Lee fan way back when he was in his early stages of action films such as Laser Mission, and Showdown in little Tokyo. I mean c'mon, he was Bruce Lee's kid.... As far as the film goes, it would seem that not too many people are aware that this film was based on the comic book done by James O'Barr(whom I believe is really fried by the way..). The story itself stayed fairly tru to the comic book, boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy and girl are savagely murdered by vicious street gang, boy comes back from the dead, kills everybody. The story is great, the sets were very dark and confined, the whole mood of the movie is very remorseful yet vengeful. The villian, Top Dollar(played by Michael Wincott), was a little cheezy at times, but all-in-all is a killer character(no pun intended).Hats off to Alex Proyas and James O'Barr for not only making me realize how precious life is, but in making Brandon Lee's final film one to remember.

Even before The Crow there was a movie that Brandon Lee made called Rapid Fire. After I saw that movie I knew a great action star was born. The fights scenes were fantastic. Then when the The Crow came out it just reinforced my belief that there was a new rising star in Hollywood. Not only was he a terrific martial artist but he was also the son of the great Bruce Lee. When Brandon Lee died on the set of The Crow to me action movies came to an end. Even today there is no one in movies who has come close to level of martial arts movie choreography or charisma that Brandon Lee had.
