Its good, and even though I particularly do not like Jennifer Lopez, you people have no right to criticize the movie because of her. And admit it, she did a good job. I like the movie because it pretty original in its own way and is very open in the sight of masochism and sadism. People that are very right will definetely not like this movie. I think it is for easy-goers. It did remind me of Silence of the Lambs, but it is almost nothing like it in the plot. Now will you just shut up about the bad plot, bad acting, its not that, its just that you have something personal against it. Otherwise, cant you just write why exactly you didnt like it, because a bad plot doesnt explain anything. Was this review helpful? But I applaud to the wondeful story and stunning effects brought on by the director. I watched it at least 10 hours ago and am still thinking about it. What struck me the most was the imaginative force put into making the mind of Carl. I especially loved the Throne Room scene. Bravo to The Cell, I definately suggest this movie to any and all who are looking for a creepy thriller. The only downfall in the film is the ending, though it wasn't too fast it didn't make as much sense and the moviecould have been closed in a much better way. YAY! Was this review helpful? I didn't think so either but I decided to see it anyway because the special effects looked like they might be worth watching in the trailers. To be honest, they weren't half bad, and if the scenes with special effects had been prolonged and J-Ho's performance downplayed this might have been a good flick. All in all it was crap basket, with a few pretty scenes thrown into the mix. I would recommend it only for the dream sequence scenes. Was this review helpful? Sign In 4 out of 8 users found this helpful Posted: 1/23/2003A review of The Cell by LickableLizards I found ";The Cell"; to be a fantastic movie with topnotch special affects and bone chilling scenes. The screenplay is well written. Although the ending could have been better, but the formidable scenes in the rest of this motion picture more than make up for it. I especially like the idea of getting to see what goes on inside the killer's mind in order to find the dying victim. It is an interesting change of pace for suspense thrillers. And although Jennifer Lopez does a senstional job as the star in this movie, I think Angelina Jolie would have done somewhat better. (No offense to Jay-Lo) ";The Cell"; is a great pick if you need another rental for a late night movie marathon. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-9 of 9 Per Page | ||
