I'll be upfront and tell you that I don't like the cuss words much, they don't "add" to a movie. Other than that, I thought that this movie was not about two women who used to be friends decades ago, but a movie about two actresses who want to be young again. The acting especially by Goldie Hawn (and I do like her) was be-littleing of her acting style. Yes, she can be funny, but in this movie she was not. There was something I did like about the movie, and it was the little fling going on with Goldie Hawn and the gentleman she picked up, it was sweet in its own way. Goldie was just tacky. Period. I am so glad that it only put me out $3 (I rented it). The trailer made it look hysterical and I was excited about seeing it. Trust me, there was nothing even remotely humorous about this movie. Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon had NO on-screen chemistry. However, if you like to watch 50somethings trying to act like trashy 20somethings, then maybe this is the movie for you!!! Susan Sarandon can be so much more and this movie just brought her down. It had no substance and it seemed unorganized. I thought I was going to go see a movie about two wild women and all they did was go to a bar, whoooopee! It's not enough to talk about the wild things they did, I wanted to see. It is a very entertaining show. My favorite part of this is when they were in the Driving Building waiting for Susan Surandons daughter in the movie. When they were talking about thir clothes. It was a way good movie. The only part that I dislikes was when,Vins family sat there and dissed on her... It was a good one thow. Totally a chic flic that my husband enjoyed as well. (I mean, come on, Goldie Hawn, and the chic from ";Swimfan";.) I will be honest with you. It just falls short of being ";right up there";. But you can't pass it up. A chance to see Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon is the reason. The humor is subtle and sometimes this movie comes close to being more of a drama. Goldie plays a woman who hasn't ";grown up";. Life is nothing but a game. Underneath it all you see a lost, lonely little girl. Susan plays a woman who left her fantasies and dreams behind to have the typical family with stress, tension, and disappointments. Both lifestyles are a little over exaggerated. The two friends are fine alone but blossom when brought back together. One moment that has Goldie administering to Susan's drugged daughter is very warm and touching. Goldie and Susan in themselves are exceptional but they need more help and support with a better storyline. Was this review helpful? The plot is not bad but the ending could be longer and more specific. The casting is not good enough as the actors didn`t show their true talent or work with their best effort.
