Date ![]() Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 3/1/2008A review of The African Queen by NYRosie This is one of the finest classics I have ever seen.Bogey plays Charlie, a drunk, crass guy who crosses paths with Hepburn's Rosie.She is a strong willed Christian who tries to help the world. In wartime, Rosie sets her heart on defeating the German boat "The Louisa". She wants to accomplish the task, against Charlie's judgement. Together the pair develop a romance, though sparks fly between the two. They travel a river rapid , and make the viewer feel the chemistry burn between them.
