The scene in which Jane Alexander, face a complete and empty blank slate, lovingly wraps the body of her child for burial is burned in my consciousness. Was this review helpful? Jane Alexander's portrayal of a mom to three young children and the effects of nuclear war on them and their small town is just so realistic it is scary. It is a movie that I recommend to everyone I know. I truely believe that every congressman should be required to watch this movie. It is not political but it brings the true effects of nuclear warfare to a real and personal level. There is a moment in the movie where Jane Alexander is in a graveyard on bended knee and takes a handful of dirt and screams ";who did this?"; . This movie is so accurate because we never know who, what or why of the bombs that were dropped but we can see the devastating losses all the same. Was this review helpful?
