This movie was a roller coaster ride from moral indignation to bleeding heart forgiveness. Im still not sure where I stand on the disturbing questions it raised. I have no doubt that pure good and infinite evil exist, they are just not present in this movie. There is just alot of grey area. Was this review helpful? The imagery is so great that I was able to watch it in Spanish and follow it almost perfectly. Very well made film. Was this review helpful? Realment val la pena veure-la Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 3/24/2003A review of Talk to Her by Lorry723 The movie is really interesting, great story. It was highly entertaining to watch, as well as being visually beautiful. The parts were all well-acted; the key character's moral ambiguity was remarkably portrayed. The plot is unlike any other I can recall, which made the experience of watching it all the more enjoyable. Was this review helpful? The acting is expressive and approachable, and characters exposed and developed. To look past the apparent obsessive qualities of the love affair and see the perhaps too human qualities of it, were important obstacles to overcome. Yet, overall the movie was impressionable and absorbing. Was this review helpful? But, unlike the cynicism about life shown so often in other Almodovar works, this may be the tenderest, most loving movie of all time (albeit, with Almodovarian quirks, of course.) And, unlike one review I read, it is not a ";gay love story."; The love story(s) is/are very heterosexual. The friendship is between men. This movie is touching, funny, unique, surprising, but in the end it is very satisfying. ******A truly outstanding movie to be seen more than once -- and, eventually, owned on DVD or VHS. Five stars are not enough! Was this review helpful? Almodovar has taken an ";odd"; situation and turned it into a powerful study of human nature in all of its infinite variety. A WONDERFUL FILM!! Was this review helpful? The scenes that impacted me the most were The Silent Film Scene and the scene when Marcos sits and listens to the gitar player and creis becuase it reminds him of his ex-girlfriend. The music and scenery tie this scene together perfectly. The plot itself was incredible. The audience learns to sympathize with Benigno and see him in the way his good friend Marcos does.
