Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  BigMacAttackPosted: 6/17/2008A review of Super Size Me by kman-billyburg Wow, I have been wanting to see this movie for awhile and finally watched it last night...I found it very informative and entertaining especially when he puked up the first meal...hilarious and then the dude with the bowl cut who eats big macs several times a day and has good cholesterol and is as thin as a rail! I envy him! :) Except the bowl haircut! ha!
It's funny but right after I finished watching the movie, I didn't really give a sh*t about anything the documentary had to say except that I hate that P.E. has been eliminated from schools. When it was over, I wanted to go get a Big Mac!!! MMM...I love BIG MAC Meals with a large coke...damn, I hate that they got rid of supersize although supersize fries just are too many to stay warm..they get cold too fast. :) Right now writing this, I wish I had McDonalds best new invention in my mouth....the Bacon, Egg and Cheese McGriddle.....oh so tasty...just like a little bite of heaven!! I remember when I first had one, my eyes rolled back in my head and I felt like I had a little orgasm in my mouth....YUMMY!
It was a little scary that he almost had kidney failure, but hell, he did have a McDonalds Binge for a month basically....who the hell ever does that? Not I, I may go through perioed where I do eat fast food everyday, but no way is it the same, I like to change it up...ya know, get some Taco Bell, some Arby's, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, and yes the MacDaddy too! :)

Morgan Spurlock is a pure genius. This film was a oure combination of fun and disgust at the same time.
Now I think twice before I even visit a Maccers outlet in my home country or anywhere in the world and ask myself Is this stuff ne good for me? Was this review helpful? Morgan Spurloch did a wonderful job of exposing the horrors of how the fast food industry contributes to the obesity problem in America! He filled this film with so much information and made it funny and interesting.

I loved this movie from the beginning to end - it involved just the right amount of humor, disgusting images, personal experience, and research to satisfy my 'hunger' for a great film. There are so many stupid movies being made, about superficial things that could never happen, about people we could care less about, and situations we totally cannot relate to. This film is the polar opposite of that - you learn something, you realize that the old saying 'you are what you eat' has some relevance and that this nation has to open its eyes to what is happening to us physically. Heart attacks, stroke, diabetes - these are all preventable and have a lot to do with how we treat our body. Spurlock suffers some very common problems after being on this diet - he even shocks his doctors with the results of his high-fat, low-nutrient diet. Please also remember that it took him only 30 days to gain 24 lbs. but it took him almost FIVE MONTHS to get it off. This is also a very important point that needs to be made, as this shows us that its much harder to fix than to prevent. Watch this film, especially if you are poisoning your body with these over-processed, genetically modified, nutrient-lacking fast food meals. Was this review helpful? The filmaker makes some great observations and yes, it's all true. The only flaw I saw was that he couldn't tie it into a larger, more disturbing picture of our society. Why do we eat out so often? Because we now have both parents working and that means less time for home cooked meals-McDonalds is the answer to that problem, not so much the problem by itself. We should question our efforts to export our culture abroad as the answer to all the world's problems when we could learn a great deal from them as well. Do we really want the whole world to be as fat as us and unhappy with our long commutes and closed off society? Go see Mike Moores films too if you like this one. Wake up America! From begining to end this moving wil have you thinking about what fast food can do to your body even in small amounts. When you see how this food affects the main characters love life I beleive it will cause you to think twice about eating the stuff. As the film closes what I think will stick with people if they stay in their seats long enough to read the credits is how long it took the man to get rid of the weight he gained from eating fast food for thirthy days. This is a movie for fat people so they can find something to blame their weight problem on. I think its obvious if you eat 3 meals a day at mcdonalds its not good for you and if you do it your an idiot. I work their and eat there sometimes because its a fast food jiont and you stop their every now and then for a quick bite of something that taste good. If you eat three meals a day there...your retarded and deserve to be fat. America has bigger problems then fat people that can't control their eating habits. I would be more worried about people with drug or drinking habits because they are hurting others not just themselves. I dunno this movie was dumb i would give it twenty thumbs down if i had that money.
