Frank Langella's performance is stellar and his character is touchingly real. I read the book many years ago, and recall having a similar feeling. The actors in the film portray characters in the book just as I imagined them.
In the QA at Sundance I learned that the film was made on a very limited budget and was shot in just 18 days. You would never know by watching it.
