It wasn't as good as I expected it to be, but it was still very good. Gotta love Hutch!, and the whole dancine scene was fun with Starsky. And they even had the awesome car. Call me “late to dinner”, but am I the only one that didn’t know this movie would make fun of the original series in just about every scene ? I’ll admit that I was a big fan of the original T.V. series, so I was looking forward to seeing Starsky and Hutch in action again. So yes, I grabbed the D.V.D. off the shelf at the rental store and was looking forward to two hours of nostalgia entertainment. The writers tried to blend some of the styles of the 70’s with the updated version. It was interesting, but a little too “far out” for me. Yes, there was a story line, but very silly. The movie starred Ben (choose better rolls) Stiller, Owen (you’re a better actor than this) Wilson and Snoop (you fit the part) Dogg. Was the original Ford Torino in the flick?, you bet. On a scale of 1-10, would I recommend that you rent this movie, don’t waste your money. In the next issue I’ll be reviewing “Fahrenheit /9-11”…..…. Although I didn't love it like Pirates of the Carribean or the lord of the rings movies. The actors did a good job and I think its worth watching. It looks like a really stupid movie but the story line ACTUALLY makes sense and is funny. Its easy to follow and you don't get confused. Snoop Dogg plays my favorite character Huggy Bear who is your average ghetto pimp. This movie will give a good chuckle here and there. What with the disco showdown and two mimes crashing a Bat Mitzah (sorry if I didn't spell it correctly). Was this review helpful?
