One of the best sci-fi movies ever that has spawned an equally riveting series. DOn't hesitate to rent it, you'll like it even if you aren't a huge fan of science fiction. Was this review helpful? Itwas my science fiction dream come to life. all of my science fiction shows rolled into one. James Spader is brilliant as Dr.Daniel Jackson. He is able to portray the role so well, and i am still attached to Daniel in the television series of Stargate SG-1. Kurt Russell puts in a good show as Jack O'neill, the man who has become depressed due to the death of his son. in Stargate, they are able to overcome many challenges and to prevail. its a brilliant movie and i wuld recommend it to anyone.
