This is an awesome movie. I would watch it over and over again. I was amazed at all the affects with the stars. I couldn't take my eyes off of it for a minute. It may be a repeat, but very good, or rather great.

Stardust to me was a perfect example of a great fairy tale done right and for a man I'm not embarassed to say that. It had everything adventure, romance, plenty of humor. and some decent action sequences at a steady pace. Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, Michelle Pfieffer, and Robert De Niro deliver terrific performances. Claire Danes was the perfect choice as the fallen star Yvaine . She's not only beautfiul but smart, and fiesty. I couldn't see anyone else in that role. Who cares if her character is a bit upset in the beginning. If you had to play a star and your character got knocked out the heavens causing you to crash land on Earth. I believe anyone would be a bit ticked off at first too. Charlie Cox was aslo an excellent choice as Tristan the poor boy who because a man and the hero. I thought Claire Danes and Charlie Cox had great chemisty together that really showed on the screen. Michelle Pfieffer was great as the sexy villainous witch Lamia who tears up the screen. Robert De Niro was hilarious as Captain Shakespare the fearsome pirate with a funny secret. Although he might not be in it alot he steals every scene he's in as the comic relief. The rest of the cast also turn in good performances. But it's those four actors and actresses that stand out amongst them. At first I wasn't sure what to expect with Stardust and I wasn't even sure I'd like it. But after seeing it I thought it was one of the best films that came out during the summer of last year. Some reviews stated they found it so predictable Tristan and Yvaine would end up together. So what if you could see it coming that's what you want to happen. If the movie ended with him and Victoria ending up together I would've like it. The fact that Tristan and Yvaine wind up falling in love is exactly what you want to see happen. I was very impressed with this film and hope Hollywood makes more movies like this one.

In the age of blod, guts and vulgarity, this movie was refreshingly nice to the eyes. Fairy Tale deaths and wicked witches being wicked is as bad as it gets. The story is good. I would say a decent family movie for those with kids over, say, 8~9. Yes, its been done before. No it isn't fast paced. It is just a nice movie.

This flick was a poor excuse at an attempt to create a fantasy that might have been based on an old ledgen, myth or ode handed down from an ancient forebearer of current Western civilization. The problem arose by the aluding to myth that the audiance that it appeals to does not have any idea of what they mean. Example: Only a virgin can see, touch much less ride a unicorn. The adults viewing with the children smirked. Then the kids asked questions and when we tried to explain the mirth and laugher made us put it on pause. (That was the only high point.) Avoid this film, unless you are a very bored child under the age of 12 and not very mature. If you have the least bit of Kool in your bod even at age 12, treat it like the plague.

much better than i thought it would have been, after a long time a finally grasping, clean movie which is suitable for all ages and left me smiling for dayss. i loved every part of it, and was possibly one of my favourite movies of all time. I would No Doubt recomend it to anyone, anyday.

I enjoyed this film quite a bit as it is a wonderful, colorful fantasy. The only thing, for which I didn't care was promotion of one-night stands and premarital sex. Despite that, I would recommend it.

I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent cast. I loved the grandeur of the final scene, and the last sword fignt is amazing! I'd like to know who sent the unicorn, and if the male lead is half magic, then wouldn't that mess him up physically when he crossed back and forth? Anyway, a few too many plot holes to me, but still a very good film. I'd say take the family!

This movie is extremely well done. While all of the actors, from the stars to the most minor parts, turned in excellent performances, Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfieffer were simply amazing as Captain Shakespear and the witch Lamia. In addition, Mark Strong's fencing as the dead Septimus was one of the best coreographed fights ever. I highly recommend this move, and I plan to buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD.

The movie was a fun little lark and a nice break from the norm. But for those whe read and really got the book it will be a bit of a dissapointment. Sure, film is a different media and sometimes you have to let ideas and dialogue go by the wayside for visual impact and action. But there was a great deal of witty dialogue which I'm sure the audience would have appreciated. These are dropped for swelling music during cliff hanging action sequences(like the race for the wall). The book mocks not only the standard fantasy conventions, but fundamental assumptions regarding morality and good and evil and love that lie behind them. I think the makers of this film weren't entirely comfortable w. the writers wry view of the human soul, so they make the hero in the end more gallant and able. A fun night out, but not the great film it could have been.

I have seen this movie twice, and love it! Helps you forget about your problems and the real world for two short hours. I can't wait for the DVD!

What a horrible slow paced movie. I watched about an hour before I realized this was no movie, but a way to inspire sleep. Good storyline, but terrible acting at a god-awful pace. This really could have been so much more. Guess the actors needed some money. I'm surprised this was released. These will be $3.99 in Wal-Mart's clearance bins by next year.

Yeah, yeah, nice movie. But THE SOUND WAS TOO LOUD!!! Most of the time it was EARSPLITTING! For about nine 10ths of the film I found myself wondering if my eardrums were being permanently damaged by the 115 decibel sound levels. Do you suppose the moviemakers and theater owners are secretly majority shareholders in the hearing aid industry? Lotta people worked very hard for a long time to make a wonderful film, but it was sabotaged by the soundtrack. Maybe if I had worn earplugs I would have enjoyed this film, but by the time I left I felt like I had been beaten up. Don't think I'm going to fork out $9.75 to be subjected to massive noise pollution again anytime soon. Man! Turn it DOWN, willya?
