When I saw Spiderman the first I thought nothing would get close to being nearly as good as this one. Marvel did a very good job on this movie. Sometimes now when I go to PG-13 movies I see a lot of bad violence. They did a good job of not having to much of it in this movie. I just don't understand how Peter acts when he is in love. Enough of the love stories and give us the action hero who was more into beating crime then making google eyes with the girl. Where is the spider senses tingling, the thought in how to get the bad guy, I guess that's not important anymore. Adding all the girly parts is only meant to make the girls watch it. Give us men a break and make an action hero movie that is more about being a hero in action then being a daytime soap with special effects. Also they can lose the unreal parts like people accidently hitting someone 4 times while the pick up their books, give us viewers a bit if credit. They should try finding a better way of showing someone down on their luck. On the plus side, good special effects. Was this review helpful? They are perverts and try to pick up girls way to young for them. This is sad! They should be put in jail for this.. but they wont be .. they'll be able to just run around and make little girls cry. This is also sad! They shouldn't be allowed to do this... it's a discrase to all the normal guys their age. The only reason that they do this sickening stuff is because they can't get it any other way. So they think they are going to just pick up some "dumb" young girl and be their sugar daddys but they're so mistaken. They should be hung for their horrible sins that they commit every day of their sad and very low , so called lives. It is better than the first "Spider-Man", I'll definitely give it that. This time around the villan was better and the storyline was better. But despite all that, like the first, the movie still wasn't completely true to the comic books. I mean, Peter hooking up with MJ in the end? "Spider-Man the animated series" is more true to the comics than this film. I'd say that's my only real criticism. On the plus side, as mentioned, there's a lot of great scenes, and you feel more into the characters. It is an enjoyable movie overall. I'm looking forward to the next "Spider-Man" film so we can see the Black Cat, aka Felica Hardy -- the woman whom Peter Parker was MEANT to be with! LOL. Was this review helpful? I saw it in theatres four times, and I have the DVD which I've already seen ten times. This movie is excellent in every way. The director knows his stuff, and he adds his knowledge into this wonderful movie. While there are many differences in the comic and the movie, the story line is nonetheless excellent. The actors in the movie are also very good, and while I love Mary Jane Watson, I would have to say that Aunt May was better. The little speech she gives to Peter when she's moving out of the apartment is so heart felt, and I feel that while Peter got his powers from the spider, he got his strength from Aunt May. This movie is so involving, and it just draws everyone in. Like always, the movie ends with suspense for the next movie, which I'm sure will be bigger and better than the previous ones. I would highly recommend this movie to everyone, as I'm sure that everyone could relate to it in one way or another. Was this review helpful? It was hard when it hit that one "downfall" spot that every movie must go through but picked up as soon as enough stuff was dished out. I loved it and hope they have a third one really soon. Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst sizzle on screen and are just fun to watch. Go see this movie. If you don't like it...No you will. Trust me. It's way better than the first. The villain was excellent. His tentacles were very well designed. <br>The whole movie was very unpredictable. It really showed Peter Parker's gift and curse.
