Diane Keaton gave such an amazing, heartfelt performace she made me cry. The fight scene in the street is brilliant! Jack Nicholson, while I was doubting his ability in this film, came off as an incredibly deep character. His addiction to younger women shows how delicate and vulnerable he feels. He doesn't feel important or strong enough to handle anything bigger. By the way, the nudity shot of Diane Keaton is not disgusting. She looks fantastic for her age and reacted perfectly in that scene. One of my favourites! Was this review helpful? I thought I could look past the old naked woman scene, and the old people making love scene, and look at the sweet little romance that was taking shape, but......I couldn't.<br>This movie could be for a much older generation seeing as how I'm only 26 years old and maybe they'd of gotten a laugh out of the sexuality of the movie, but I just didn't think it was a bit amusing. How on earth is any of the plot believable. Jack nicholson plays a cad as well as anyone can, one can only imagine why. But a romantic lead? he can act, but the sensitivity needed for any believability is sooooo lacking. Methinks he is portraying a love and sex addict, she a tied up co-dependent. I finally had a chance to see it on Friday night, May 21, 2004, on one of the "Pay-Per-View" Channels.<br> I really loved this movie! It was such a wonderful, sweet romantic comedy about how two older "Baby Boomers" finally found real true love--- with each other. All of the actors and actresses in this movie performed their roles so well--and they were so down-to-earth, and they acted so natural. Jack Nicholas and Diane Keaton made such a nice couple---being close to the same age. They just flowed together so well. I also enjoyed watching the scenes at the beach by the Pacific Ocean. And Erika's (Diane Keaton) home was so nice, bright, and beautiful! It projected such a nice, warm, and homey atmosphere. I wouldn't mind seeing this movie over and over again! I would highly recommend this movie for everyone---especially all of you "romanticists"---like myself, to see. Was this review helpful? This movie almost did that! I have always enjoyed Keeton's perfomances, but they are all very much the same and this was no exception. On the other hand Nicholson has an ability to show something different in every roll he does, even when they are similar. The movie dragged in places, but had enough punch and fine performances to get you through that. I enjoyed the movie, but considered it over rated by the critics. Was this review helpful? The two made this movie happen with the help of other cast members. Diane and Jack, made you laugh, cry and at times left you sitting on the edge. Nancy Meyers knew what she was doing when she put the two together to make her Movie. All I can say is Fantastic, go see the movie, buy it when it comes out, its a must to see and have.
