I was so looking forward to this remake and could not imagine how dissapointed i would be. From the beginning the photography was uncomfortable , the acting not quite believable. I wonder is this a case of mr brannagh being too creative as a director, or, did mr brannagh lose the plot? The house itself was too much, there was no chemistry between mr caine and mr law even when the movie spirallled into some kind of awkward , embarrassing gay twist. simply horrible. i was almost squirming in my seat feeling so bad for mr caine having to endure this direction. holy crap kenneth, did you see the original!
