This film means so much to me and if it dosnt make you think differently you didnt understand it.This film shows exactly what true punk rock is without any fillers. It has such raw emotion you cant help not feel yourself connecting with the characters. If you think this reveiw is B.S. then sorry but I love Punk Rock music and am very compassionate about it so there you go. BUY THIS FILM! Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful You don't have to be "punk" to understand this film. What matters isn't whether or not it [the film] represents punk, or if you call yourself punk or not. What it's trying to convey is when you stick a definition to something like the idea of punk or call yourself a punk, you go aganist everything it embodies. Punk or not, it's a good film with a good message. Were born to conform. Something or someone will always get the best of you. Was this review helpful? I stumbled across it on IFC and wish they would play it again! It's about life and how people judge others too much. Was this review helpful? And I can't believe how they stuck in all those view points and such over anarchy, punk rock in general, ect. Has to be my favorite movie of all time. Totally awesome. Was this review helpful? Theres great story-telling, great acting and James Merindino did a great job of capturing the lifestyle of a punk in 1985 . This is a movie people can watch and enjoy. Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful? Sign In 4 out of 5 users found this helpful this movie was a good movie, if you dont think about everything said and done in it. maybe its an RIP for the dead or dying punk scene, but to me it sounds like a big FXCK YOU to the entire idea of punk rock rebellion. for example, after stevo goes through the whole movie explaining his punk rock politics, at the end, when that one chick questions his way of dress, telling him its fashion, not rebellion, he replys by saying ";then whats rebellion?";. and other then that..what are the suicide machines and Fifi doing in a movie based in 1984? but besides the obvious message of how wrong it is, in the end, to be punk, and a lack of realism, its a rad movie. Was this review helpful? Sign In 2 out of 3 users found this helpful Punk what? Normal who? It doesnt matter! This movie represents the angst driven mind's of all teens...no matter the day and age. Matthew Lillard deliver's like an Ali hook to the temple.....leaving you asking ";What the f*ck was that!?"; To watch it is to love it, and to love it is to live it. Live on. Was this review helpful?
