It had a good story plan/plot with Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald) dealing with a deep crush, and her parents forgetting her 16th birthday.
Here is a brief summary of the story:
It's Samantha Bakers 16th birthday and the day before her sisters wedding. He parents forget her birthday, and so she acts like her life is over. Later on in the day when she's in studyhall they have her take a test for sex-ed and it ask who she would make love to if she could pick one person, so she puts down Jake Ryan, a guy who she has a huge crush on, and (who she has studyhall with at that moment), so she goes to drop the test to her bestfriend and she doesn't catch it, so it layed on the floor and Jake Ryan saw it , took it, then read. He slowly develops a crush on Sam, and the story becomes more exciting.
I'm not gonna give you the ending, or other sertain parts because i don't wanna ruin it for you if you havent seen it,(your heart will race! mine did!)and you will get many laughs though the movie to, but anyways, you will love it. I promise you that. Was this review helpful? Sign In 2 out of 3 users found this helpful Posted: 8/4/2003A review of Sixteen Candles by beachgurlathesea This is one of my favorite movies. In all of Molly Ringwald's movies, I like this one the most. Sam's sixteenth birthday is coming up, and she expects her family to give her the best party ever, but everyone in her family forgets it. She falls in love with the rich popular guy, Jake Ryan, and he starts to love her back. I recommend this movie to anyone. Was this review helpful? Molly Ringwald never looked hotter, Anthony Michael Hall was never funnier, superb minor characters like Long Duck Dong, and as a great bonus John Cusack in an early role which the viewer can easily see his great potential. An absolute 80's classic! Was this review helpful? Sign In 3 out of 3 users found this helpful Posted: 11/21/2002A review of Sixteen Candles by AmandaJane222 From the director who made Molly Ringwald famous, John Hughes shines with this classic eightes comedy. Sophomore Samantha Baker's birthday is coming up, but her family does not remember, a tragic event for any teenager. Her crush, Jake Ryan, begins to notice her, the geek, Farmer Ted, falls in love with her, and of course high school happens. If you want to laugh, shed a few tears, and have a movie with a happy ending, this is it. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-8 of 8 Per Page | ||
