However, I felt that Lawrence Kasdan did a great job directing this, what I call, an unconventional western. All of the actors were great to watch. Was this review helpful? Good plot, breathtaking photography and a solid cast of actors made this big budget epic one of my favorites. The old west action (watch for Costner's saloon shoot out with two deputies near the end) coupled with some humorous moments supplied by Kline and cast had me watching it over again as have many of my friends. If you don't really like westerns (as I do) this film could change your mind. Was this review helpful?
