I loved listening to the upbeat, toe tapping, hand clapping, hips swinging music. Shrek Three only had "I thank you for being my friend" at the end which was good but not enough.

it lacked the punch and character developement as the first two. donkey and puss didn't get the chance to play as in the others. arther just never made it, I couldn't really find myself rooting for him. but it must be really tough for j. timberlake to sell it in animation when he's incapable of selling it in real life. overall enjoyable but nowhere near as good as #1 or#2. Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  lost itPosted: 7/8/2007A review of Shrek the Third by racerx4111 i agree with the person who said theyve probably ran out of ideas on this one. its all the same old same old from start to end. myers shrek sound bored doing this and whats peculiar is donkey seemed retraint and didnt have that many lines that were memorable. the only amusing scenes that manage to tickle were pinnochio trying to evade telling a lie and pinnochio again trapped in the box during the rescue scene. On the other hand, it really isn't that memorable either. I loved the first two, but this one seemed like the creators were completely out of ideas... If you haven't seen it by now, it wouldn't hurt to wait a few months longer until the DVD comes out--that way, you don't waste as much money on a relatively bland movie. Was this review helpful? They take us for granted as this film obviously demonstrates.
Nowhere near the effort went into this film as the first 2 in the series (especially the first). Neither the writing or the animation are on par with what you expect.
The whole running gag is about Shrek not wanting a baby and it got old after about 5 minutes yet it drives the storyline the entirety of the movie. Was this review helpful? Stop already. The 3rd wasnt funny and it should be enough already. Everything that was great about the first has been forgotten. I never found myself dreading the movie nor thinking of it as a waste of time, unlike some people. I fif find it very funny and enjoyed many of the humor in it just as much as I did in the others. If you go to see Shrek, you have to be expecting the silly humor that is still stupid. If that is what you like about these movies, then see it. Was this review helpful? It's like they rushed through making the movie to release it sooner knowing Shrek fans would come to see it, but Shrek fans didn't know they would be so dissapointed. I had LOVED both of the Shrek movies but I just can't lie and say the same for this one. The donkey is supposed to be a very annoying character who talks a lot and doesn't stop talking even when people tell him to stop. That's what makes the shrek fans love donkey. In this movie, they forget all about that and he wasn't funny. Also, what happened to the Puss in Boots? Only one thing that I didn't like, at the end of the last two movies, after the credits, they had a little extra something funny.
