Julie Hagerty as the Junior League mom is HILARIOUS! I remember her from Airplane, and she still plays the ditzy woman perfectly. And who wouldnt love Amanda Bynes. She is mega-talented--an amazing young lady. Whenever I see that shes going to be in something, I make sure to see it. We still enjoy reruns of The Amanda Show (we like Drake and Josh, too). Watch for sly references to Twelfth Night--notably the poster advertising the play As You Will (the subtitle of Twelfth Night) when she first hits her new schools campus as a guy. Just a lot of fun, and NOT just dumb fun--theres definitely an intelligence to the screenplay, too. Was this review helpful? I knew the Mean girls with a twist Shes the man was going to be funny as soon as i read the synopsis but i didnt realize i would really laugh so much at certain points in the movie.
With a fabulous cast even the serious characters seemed put a smile on my face with their range of attitudes and witty lines. Amanda Bynes starring in her own show The Amanda Show was where i first heard of her as many others but after finishing a comical show that really makes anyone giggle she starred in a few teen movies of her own. Shes the man is just another one of those movies i find incredibly entertaining at every moment. The story is well planned A teenage girl pretending to be a boy to be able to play soccer. Who wouldnt find that instantly funny?
Overall i think it was a fabulous film and a movie for everyone to gather round eating popcorn and watch. Great cast! Funny moments! Hilariously brilliant! Was this review helpful? I totally loved it, it was so funny and you couldnt wait to see what would happen next.

Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum have such chemisry on and off the screen. She has such talent and is hilarious throughout the movie. (I luv her in What a Girl Wants) Channing, well, what more do you need to say? Not only is he amazingly HOT(Channing, if youre reading this, I really respect you as an actor and would love to meet you someday!) but he really is a deep actor, not your typical Hollywood actor. (Check him out again in Step Up)Other members of the cast were Laura Ramsey (Olivia), Robert Hoffman (Justin) and Alex Brekinridge (Monique). All of the cast were perfect for their parts and did such a great job! The whole movie was laugh out loud funny, never a dull moment! There was also a bunch of great songs so check out the soudtrack - its awesome! Its definitely an inspirational movie encouraging teen girls to pursue their dreams no matter what! By showing Amanda (Viola) as a girl pretending to be a boy, it shows you that you can accomplish anything if set your mind to it and that you shouldnt discriminate against different genders. Hope you enjoy the movies, cast, and soundtrack as much as I did!!!! Was this review helpful? Amanda Bynes did a great job playing a guy and a girl. And come on ladies Channing Tatum is to die for, he really did a great job, they all did. Amanda and Channings chemistrry in the movie it felt real, and that hardly happens in a movie. If you notice the guy who plays Justin,(Robert Hoffman), you can also she him on the cast of Wild n Out. And Laura Ramsey is coming up with a scary move soon. And of course Channing in Step Up in theatres Friday. Was this review helpful? I loveed Shes the Man Dont listen to anyone who says otherwise. This is a major CHICK FLICK. My friends and I went to see it in theater with some friends we laughed the whole time. Its been a few years since Amanda Bynes made a movie. She was great. Even if you didnt like What a Girl Wants you will love this. It is kind of predictable but still a great movie. The whole plot is exciting.

I love how Amanda gets the guy and every thing ends perfectly. The ending is a little awkward when they are in a packed soccer stadium and Amanda takes of her shirt and exposes her breasts and her brother takes of his shorts(and underwear!!0 like that would ever happen!!! Beautifully writted and choreographed...never a dull moment. If you ever rent or buy the DVD I highly recommend watching it with the commentary featuring the director and the 6 or 7 main actors and actresses...whoever said that Amanda Bynes cant act needs to pull their head out of their WHOOPS!!! She did a wonderful job badly portraying her brother...which was what they were going for, you idiot!!! I highly recommend this movie!!! Amanda Bynes has finally grown up...and she is a knockout!!! There is , as always, the unrealistic high-school ambiance, always with the cool guys and the Loosers. With too exagerated characters (see Violas Mum or Monique) it just gives the movie a touch of stupid. And , when the cute boy recites Shakespear, you think Whats this doing here?? . The football in the movie is only a cover for a repetitive, mainstream and uninspired movie, with actors like Amanda Bynes acting without any talent.
