You know what kind of movies he does ie: Talledega Nights, Blades of Glory, Anchorman...so why are you so disappointed? I personally enjoy Will. Why on earth would go see it if you are looking for a Brain-buster movie? Granted, it's not my favorite, but Anchorman is pretty hard to beat. Lighten up people. Has Hollywood finally hit bottom on the talent barrel? He plays the same lame part over and over, just a different script. He may be a nice enough guy, he's just not funny. In the alternative it should appeal to anyone who likes the underbelly of pro sports. Ferrell was funny and although Woody Harrelson seemed to mail it in some of the time ,he was servicable. The only reason I'm even giving it one star is because they don't give "zero" as an option. There were a few parts that were semi-funny, but nothing overwhelming. As I walked out of this movie, I felt stupider than when I walked in.

The story line is barely perceivable; it seems the script was written around using the words "c@#k" and "c@#k s@#%er". I am hugely disappointed in Will Ferrel. Will Ferrell is the Burt Reynolds of the new millenium. Burt made some decent movies, then got caught up in the buddy films, Smokey and the Bandit have a baby, Stroker Ace, Hooper, etc.. It is the same thing. Invite a bunch of your buddies to be in your picture, laugh at your own stupid jokes and act surprise that nobody gets it. Sign in 1 out of 6 users found this helpful Just a good laughing filmHonestly, Im a lady that speaks the truth but in my opinion this movie is one of those movies that if you need a laugh cause your boss gave a bad day at work or your taxes are stressing you out, you need to watchiing this funny film. It may not be NO "SuperBad" but it sure does make you laugh.

This is what I get for reading a review of a so Called "CRITIC" I dont know how in the world this movie made it to 4 starts?????? I guess, that Critic did not do his homework! Not only did this movie #$%&ed, but basically it took 1.5 hours of my time!!!! I am a Will F. fan, but seriously, this movie was not it for me! I enjoed the Anchorman, Blades of Glory, and Stranger than Fiction, but Semi-Pro is really bad. It was boring, not funny, and, even though only 1hr 30min, seemed really long. I'd say save your money. Just not funny and i do not understand why they chose to go over the top with the profanity. If the producers of this movie had toned down the language a little then it could have been rated PG-13 and the kids would go see it, i do not recommend it for those under 16. The bottom line is the film was boring and only a few laughs. Time for Ferrell to go away or try to recapture the "Anchorman" days. Was this review helpful?
