It has a fantastic story, based on real events with excellent actors who bring it to life. Told from a child's point of view, there is a freshness and humanity that as adults often dissappears later in life. A definite must see, you will enjoy every minute and then probably, watch it over again. The acting is powerful yet not overpowering, Ben Kingsley once again gives a wonderful performance without stealing the story. Highly recommend it for all ages, there's something for everyone. Don't move until you can see it. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 8/12/2003A review of Searching for Bobby Fischer by Anonymous Pleasant surprise. Something caught my eye, so I sat down for a minute and didn't get up until it was over - and even then, only reluctantly. The story is amazing and the portrayal of it in the movie is subtle and sensitive. The characters are so real. At the end of the movie I just felt happy to be part of a human race that produced these people.Recently I caught it again on TV with my 17-year-old daughter. I enjoyed every minute all over again. She loved it too. I was pleased that the sensitive human values, with which the film copes, were as poignant to her as they were to me.A sheer joy!
