It takes place in a small town in California and most of the characters are teens, everything you could want from a horror movie, and plus the acting is very believable and the effects are awesome Was this review helpful? Its nothing like the budget wasting, I Know What You Did Last Summer. Lets be honest for a few minutes. The SCREAM trilogy is the greatest horror trilogy ever. Anyone who disagrees should be drug into the middle of the street and shot. SCREAM, SCREAM 2, and SCREAM 3 are the greatest movies ever in this trilogy. One reason that I know this is because it was the first movie I saw with Neve Campbell, and this was back when I was only 12 years old and in 6th grade! Nothing could ever compare to this masterpiece. Everytime a new scary movie opens in theaters, its always such a letdown, because it just cant compete with this movie. I loved the characters and plot. Wes Craven is a genius and if anyone disagrees, e-mail me. Anyway, the story is set to where you want to know more about why it happens, and the other two movies fulfil the questions. The only word that can describe this movie is Brilliant. Well i think im going to have to listen to our mommas again.<br>Rule one in mommas house: Don't talk to strangers!<br>Well if someones threatening me from the phone with my spouse outside tied to a chair why couldn't i just get a knife, or some kind of blunt object(with a knife) uncut the ropes around my spouse and give it to the spouse? well i guess it "wouldn't be a movie" but Wes Cravens needs to find better dying techniques. I know directors try to scare their audience but falling and peeping at the killer juicily is getting old. So is the " live in this movie die in the next with that guy from Malibus Most Wanted. Wes Cravens is a sick man with awful killing techniques which he enjoys sharing through movies. Obviously he's living in Scott Peterson's (serial killer) world. As you all know by now, it's a satire of other horror flicks. Whether intended to be funny (and it is), it's still pretty damn scary and gruesome. All the ingredients for a horror flick, right? Neve Campbell (who plays Sidney) could most likely have been the new Scream Queen for the '90s. (In case you don't know your horror history, Jamie Lee Curtis is the original Scream Queen.) And this was definately the horror film of the '90s. It spawned two mediocre and unnecessary sequels, both of which are okay but they don't add up to the terrifying (and oft-humorous) tone of its original masterpiece. I hope Wes Craven makes a big come back once again in the future because, man... there aren't many horror films out there that comes to being scary as his movies. So anyway, I think most of youse know the plotline for this flick so there's no need for me to go into drastic details, but just in case: Man in spooky mask runs around killing random horny and hot teenagers. The young kids know they're supposedly in a horror film type setting so they "abide" by its "rules." End. Is it good? Yes, it is. Is it great? Umm... this being MY review, I think it's destined to rank up there with the horror/slasher classics like "Halloween." Although Neve Campbell gives a great performance, I must hand it to the bad girl Rose McGowan. Oh my God, never before had I laid eyes on such a gorgeous, beautiful, hot, talented, and incredibly sexy woman! Rose, I think you're the HOTTEST woman out there, next to Keira Knightley!... Sorry... Rose clouded my mind there. Anyway, watch this movie for some great scares. Was this review helpful? Psycotic and armed with horror movie knowledge, yep that's me. Go Matthew Lillard you rule! This movie started out kinda boring (sept when chick punched reporter lol) then it totally twisted on me. I actually exclaimed 'Dude i was so totally unsuspecting'...Go matthew lillard and um...oh yeah thank you wes craven for freddy and now this! Woo yeah Was this review helpful?
