A bunch of boring characters doing boring things, thinking they're being profound. The director must have done some serious sexual favors to get this financed. I saw it because of it's 93% rating on rotten tomatoes, but I didn't notice that most of the reviews were from magazines and websites no one's ever heard of. Was this review helpful? Read those reviews along with a summary of the movie. If you see anything that you think you might like then go. Movies of this caliber need to be made more often. We need to provide the market.
At the end of the movie, one of the main characters raised his fist in recognition that he was witnessing something phenomenal. I was not the only member of the audience who did the same. It's about opening up to the possibilities in life, if you want to get analytical about it. If you like to leave a movie feeling better about people and their abilities to cope with life and its situations, this movie is perfect for you. It never lags or loses focus. I would classify it as a must-see for people who want real movies instead of shoot-'em-up adaptations of comic books. Was this review helpful? It was funny, it was a twisty and interesting plot and the casting was right-on! From the size of the audience (16) I wasn't sure what to expect, but a few more screenings and word of mouth will make this film a highlight of the 2012 summer movies for sure!
